Having watched it now I must say I'm quite content with the fact that I didn't attend the show. What a way to celebrate 25 years - by butchering your own songs. What's with all the constant shouting and screaming? I wonder if he has even watched this himself and knows how it sounded. I Die For You Today in particular was nothing short of a pure disaster. Really terrible and bad PR.

I'm guessing he just got over-excited for the occasion, because his voice was clearly not in a particular bad shape that night from what I can hear. That is when he actually restrains himself, I mean.

Yes, I think you're right. The quality of his voice was still there but he acted like he was high on something, maybe on life. He actually ruined the show with the silly falsetto and whoops and screeches. I do hope he's watched it and thinks the same.
