I voted 82. That year was very important to me, maybe the beginning of my life, so I loved the music of that year. [ziplip]

Impossible for me to vote. Every year from 1980 to 1986 was a fantastic year for music for me. I can't have a favourite as they are all favourites. After that, the music scene started to get lost somewhere.

A really tough one!

I chose 1982, my favourite bands at that time released some of their (in my opinion) best songs: ABBA with "The Day before you came", Secret Service with "Cry softly", Whitesnake with "Here I go again". Not to forget the powerful and funny music of the "Neue Deutsche Welle". [smile2]

In AV-terms I'd take 1989 because of TBB, but the other music from 1989 isn't extraordinary enough to vote for that year. Because my AV-fave is still "Prostitute" - and the 90ies weren't asked here - I have to say: "sorry guys, no AV-vote for me this time."

1983, when I discovered Thriller. I did not discover AV until 1984 (I think - part of my memory was lost a long time ago in an accident, so please don't jump on me for getting the date wrong LOL). A high school friend introduced me to AV and FY, and I was really hooked. So I guess 1984/5? are my two favorite years....
Anyway, all the 80s were cool, seemed I couldn't get enough of all those "one hit wonders". I even found an old picture of myself, taken in a recording studio, with the same hair style Kim Wilde had on her album "Select" - Cambodia!

I voted for 1984...All of my favorite songs from Alphaville came out in 1984.
