It's a smooth version, nice to listen to, and it is really interesting to see how the song has developed. Still, I beg to differ with most of the other opinions voiced here: imho Alphaville really took their game to the next level with the album version - it's bolder, tighter, more interesting and takes more chances. Plus, it's a real stunning performance. I definitely applaud the band for chosing that version for the album and even more for having the balls to pick it as the single.
I prefer to dance to my own beat I prefer to sing my own song I prefer to live - do you wanna come along? (Ephemere - Eternal Travelers pt. III) NEW ALBUM RELEASED: My New Wave / New Romantics band POINTLESS has released its first album, WE ARE https://wearepointless.bandcamp.com/album/we-are |

I'd say my favorite version out of the 3 out there is the vinyl version. The album version is too funky for my tastes: This one's an odd mix of both the album + vinyl versions. Still awesome to have it out there.
