What an absolutely amazing version!! I have always loved the song for its lyrics, vocals, structure - but the album version somehow never captured its pure essence... a little too Floyd-ish, a little inert at times. Now THIS feels like they knew TIME and they knew IT when they did it... casts this gem in - well, not in a new light, rather in its true light. Much more intense, musically more interesting, more like one of these crazy Alphavillian trips and not like referencing anything else. Reminds me of late 90s / early 00s Alphaville in a VERY good way.
If I may voice a humble request: pleeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaase bring on Questions of Happiness and record a studio version of the incredible Gallery at last. I'd give a million for it if I had one. Or more simply put, is there a trusted source of credits for strange Attractor somewhere?  |
