Der Schwerpunkt liegt jedoch eindeutig im Bereich Musiktheater: Mit der Unterstützung des Richard-Wagner-Verbandes wird Wagners Erstlingswerk "Die Feen", das er 1833 in Würzburg komponierte, in der Regie von Christian Pöppelreiter aufgeführt.Darüber hinaus "Rigoletto", "Die Entführung aus dem Serail", "Idomeneo", Carl Millöckers "Bettelstudent", Webbers "Jesus Christ Superstar". Damit hofft Schneider "ein breites Publikum erreichen." Aber auch "das Neue und Unbekannte" holt er nach Würzburg. Zum Beispiel mit der spartenübergreifenden Neuproduktion "Alice im Wunderland" von Lewis Carroll mit Musik von Alphaville-Musiker Marian Gold. Zudem präsentiert Manfred Trojahn als erster "Composer in Residence" seine zeitgenössische Oper "Limonen aus Sizilien" in einer Neufassung (nach den ersten Aufführungen in Amsterdam und Köln) und in Kooperation mit der Musikhochschule. Im Ballett kommt als zeitgenössisches Werk "Der Welt Lohn" des in Würzburg lebenden und lehrenden András Hamary zur Uraufführung, eine Vertonung des mittelalterlichen Versepos des Konrad von Würzburg. Choreografiert wird es zusammen mit Carl Orffs Dauerbrenner "Carmina Burana".

Looks like it may be a musical that Marian has written specific music for to me. First I've heard of it (never seen it mentioned anywhere) but it sounds like it could be very interesting.

There's only this sentence that is of importance ...

And it's only saying that there will be a new production of Alice in Wonderland with music by Marian Gold

THUS GREW THE TALE OF WONDERLAND
After the end of the Anniversary Tour Marian Gold is now working on a musical play based on Lewis Carroll's "Alice in Wonderland" which will be presented on stage sometime in 2006 in Würzburg, Germany. The musical is a co-production with Herman Schneider whom Marian already knows from his collaboration on the opera-project "L'inventione degli Angeli" to which Klaus Schulze contributed the music.
