I just can't get tired of the fantastic "History of modern" album from OMD!! I have to say that for me it's better than "Catching rays on giant". The Alphaville album is probably better to listen to for the first time but unlike most other Alphaville albums there are some songs that I grow a bit tired of. That is not the case with the OMD album...
The third single of the album (History of modern part 1) is accompanied by a fantastic video and an even more fantastic extended version (OMD's extended version). Oh how I've missed those great remixes.....so few makes great remixes today!!! |

Punishment of Luxury - new album - out now
Wow, nothing happened here in more than 4 years - time to change it!
The new OMD album "Punishment of Luxury" has been released last week and it is great! Electronic music at its best, I can only recommend it. I bought the deluxe edition, which is simply awesome. It features an artbook in the size of an LP, the album as LP in coloured vinyl, the album CD, a CD with demos and a DVD with track-by-track commentaries and videos plus a poster and a signed card by Paul & Andy. My collector-heart is happy. Here the title track, give it a listen and enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2cU53wWb6UI |

I couldn't agree more Roland. OMD are true to their origins....still making classic synth pop and it's absolutely amazing!!!!
I have also been listening a lot to rare tracks lately. I'm absolutely crazy about "Kill me", "Burning" and "No man's land". |

I'm going to see them in March at a small venue here in Seattle. I've not seen them live before and I heard they put on a great show.
Now the party's over, I'm so tired ~ Then I see you coming out of nowhere Much communication in a motion ~ Without conversation or a notion Avalon |
