You see, I felt the opposite! I LOVED German in school. I always got marks in the 90% range. I still love reading it (and occasionally speaking it) I love challenging myself. I am so glad I took it in school. (there is nothing like being sent a dm book in german and being able to read it)
On the other hand, I hated french. I just didn't find it fun like German. German is so fun cause thw words are really odd and silly. Tara : ) |

Hardin, the reason that German TV movies are translated into German is that many German people do not speak English :-)
But it is possible to get the movies in English version on video tapes. But those tapes are very rarely... I love translated movies because English is sometimes hard to understand for me *lol*. But I am (forever) young, I can learn it. And, hardin, you are right. German is VERY boring at school, even for a German girl like me *lol*. VERY BORING SUBJECT. Always the same. Reading books... Writing essays.... BOOOOOORRRRRRIIIIIIING!!!!!!! But I hated French when I got it at school, so I stopped learning it as soon as possible. MC Morlock P.S. You forgot a 't' behind "heißt" on one of your posts, funny to read that for me *lol*. It doesn't matter! |

As i was sitting bored to death during a lesson (about my job in the army) i wrote some stuff in my notebook : BIG IN JAPAN, ALPHAVILLE, MARIAN GOLD......
So one girl saw it and said : "No...it is called BEEN IN JAPAN !" I laughed and said : "come on... i know this band... BIG IN JAPAN !" And she insisted - "BEEN IN JAPAN !!!" Eventually i got pretty mad and yelled at her : "Jesus! I co-wrote a song for this band and you're telling me the name of my fave song ?!?" She looked at me surprised and said : "You worked with them? how ?!?" So i just said : "Not now... im studying...." I know it sounds like i was angry but actually it was pretty funny
------------------@ville - forever and ever------------------ Visit me at: http://members.nana.co.il/planet/euphoria
Edited by - alpha-x on 25 Apr 2001 13:36:17 |

Yeah, that really sucks sometimes... People who want to tell me how to write AV song titles... Something like that happened to me with the song Point Of Know Return....

I had an arguement with a gadge one day..He insisted that "One Night In Bangkok" was Alphaville..After about 10 minutes of this argument I asked the chap what Alphaville cds he had in his own home...He said..OH! i do not have any...But I know this is an Alphaville song..Luckily this wanker was a neighbor of mine and I brought him to me Alphaville collection and handed him all the cds I own...(Which cannot fit in one hand) And said "Look in there you nitwit and show me that f***king song...You do that and I will mow your lawn for a year and change me name to Slap Me MacSilly" Well...Me name is still Trent MacLeod *Evil snicker*
