I voted 80s because that is when I first heard them but it is also lovely to be reaquainted with them now and to have discovered this forum.

They released 3 studio albums + Singles Collection during a 5 year period in the 80s. By far the best period in the history of AV if you ask me!!!!!

@ poul e
So to you obviously "the history" matters? What about your own *history*? Does it vividly matter?

I think AV is dead!
As conceived in one s head.

Definitely the 80´s. That does not mean that I do not like from 80s to this day.

ok, yes, I was being a bit cheeky, but I like each Alphaville period for different reasons and find it very difficult to say that I like one more than another....... if I really had to choose it would be a portion of the 80's and 90's.

I also went with '80s, but I gotta say that this is one of the toughest choices ever!

Each decade had some cool stuff to offer.

'80s -- These are the "classics," people!

'90s -- After much experimenting with different music genres, Salvation was the best from here.

'00s -- Here, we get more the style that MG wanted to have, as well as more sophisticated writing.

Hello, my friend...

I can't decide because I like each decade in different ways.

Hey Clara!

Same here!
Can t imagine to decide about one period in my life having been the best!

See you as the charming forever young woman creeping out of the grumpy one ;-)
Nevertheless "looking down" really sounds great ;-)

Btw, has anyone read mynx s poem about being in love?

so I'm not alone in finding this really hard. Don't want to vote at all .
