I'm getting two kittens. I applied to a shelter to get a cat, initially expecting an older cat but they recommended kittens and now I'm smitten with them. They will be ready for rehoming on 2nd August.

My colleague's little dog died during an operation recently, There is some question of error and whether the operation was needed at all. She has a new dog now. The new puppy is helping her to recover from her loss. ....it was them what drove me to drink!" [drunk] Grandad, Only Fools and Horses (UK sitcom) |

A new Betta Spendens at home (understood at once that when I knock on his bowl, it means "food".
And a new dog, black german shepherd, for my stepfather. His name is Lucky. Never learned with the breeder what is "having a family around", "how to behave at home". So we were very busy "Lucky, no !" "Lucky, give back my shoe", and so on. |

Awwww. He'll learn!
My two have developed a bad habit of slaloming down the stairs in a shopping bag. It is now banished to the bottom of the stairs, although if I hear giggling I'll know it's naughty kittens sneaking it upstairs. It's more like a box really, made of strong cardboard. I thought it would be a good hidey hole for them in the upstairs bedroom. ....it was them what drove me to drink!" [drunk] Grandad, Only Fools and Horses (UK sitcom) |

I don't think I ever posted anything about getting a bunny! His name is Stormy and I got him back in November and he was only a month old. Now he's 10 months old and quite a crazy one!! He's very rebellious..if he doesn't get his way he will bite on his cage or throw his food bowl until he gets to be loose and out of his cage! He loves sleeping with his stuffed animals and ooh he loves his toy bells! One downside though is that he may not live a full life because he has a noncurable parasite, E. Cuniculi, which attacks the lungs, kidneys, heart, neurological system (causing a head tilt) and blindness(parasite enters the eye). I found out he had this when one day he stopped eating and drinking. He also kept loosing his balance. He got blood work and turns out he was positive for the parasite. This parasite is brought down from the mother and if my bunny has it, his litter of bunnies will as well so if not treated with the proper medicine in time they will die. I contacted the store manager where I purchased my bunny and there was nothing they could do because they don't know which breeder each bunny comes from and the breeder where my bunny came from is breeding sick bunnies. Apparently in the state of Illinois, you don't need a license to breed animals. It's sad and very messed up. Because of this parasite, my bunny has a permanent head tilt, he's going blind in one eye due to the parasite entering his eye and now I have to keep a close eye on him to make sure he is eating and drinking, and isn't showing and signs of illness. If so I have to contact my vet right away. I will give my bunny the best life he can get and have him live his life to the fullest!! In the photo below, that's a picture of him when he was a baby and now! You can't really notice his head tilt when he's in a laying position but when he sits up, it's noticeable. He's a very special boy!
