So how much time does Marian give you to create the video for the monday release? I agree with everyone else that it is not just Marian giving us a glimpse into the creative process but it is also highlighting your impressive video skills! We miss your presence online very much!!

New Release - Question of Happiness (Mark V)
Well, it‘s not a contractual relationship. So I have as much time as I want. It‘s an artistically collaboration on eye height. We complement each other on a creative foundation.

I've listened to this song probably 100 times by now. I hope it gets put up for sale as a FLAC (or really, any format - I just like lossless music usually) like Love Will Find A Way was :)

There are ideas for a release. When, where and in which format is, of course, up to the band to announce.

The subs synchronization alone is time-consuming, I remember having spent over 90 min. to add subs to a 5 minutes music video, to match perfectly. Therefore I can imagine the amount of work for one whole video! I especially like the visual effects for the lyrics on Call Me Down, this 'dusty effect', must be created with a top-pro software.

It is as you say, I spent exactly 90 mins on adding the Lyrics to Ricks video for [the song] which will be released tomorrow. Plus it took me another 90 mins in advance until I found a font which works with both the song and the visuals in a way which is not looking too stylo, too cheesy or too too-much-tried. So, subtitlewise this was the biggest challenge so far.
As for the software used: I have legal access to Adobe premiere and stuff but have never used it - and simply haven’t got the time to work my way into autodidactical knowledge, so all is done with iMovie (providing that dust effect which surprisingly worked so perfect) and some iPad Apps (for adding a harmonical grading). |
