Seriously though, while I'm greatful to get any new Alphaville, anyone could have made this. No Alphaville in it. ....it was them what drove me to drink!" [drunk] Grandad, Only Fools and Horses (UK sitcom) |

You all know Alphaville, some of the new songs and you should know that Marian walks musicially many ways. Remember the "website story" (=websongs). As far as I remember there was also a song included which also uses such vocal effects. And Alphaville released a bunch of fantastic songs after that! Enjoy the music: It's been made for your entertainment not for your torture! |

I see that this song left no one indifferent ! Actually I spent some time with the headphones on, to work on the lyrics - and I finally must say that the melody is not bad at all if you remove the vocoder and some "bounce" effects. So I'd like to hear the three previous versions.

After seeing the lyrics and listening to the song again I understand the intent here. Never to disappoint with the intelligence of the lyrics Marian has continued to provide us with quality work.
The lyrics appear to be composed specifically to fit into this form of music and they do complement each other very well. It would be interesting to hear previous versions of this song and track it's evolution. With the current resurgence of popularity in 80's music, I anticipate that Marian et.al., will quickly take advantage of this opportunity to compose lyrics and music that will capture the essence of that time. I look forward to hearing Alphaville on international billboard top ten soon. Thank You for the music Alphaville! |

Hey, a new song! "Tempelhof" is really good news to me! I love it - it's original, quite progressive (not quite avantgarde, but definitely innovative), rough around the edges but still very catchy. I hope this is a style we will also find on the new album! The only thing I dislike about it is that I think the vocoderish effecty on the voice are somewhat overdone...good idea, but just toooo much (same with the see me through demo 2001 (or was it 2000?)).
Just can't get it out of my head! I prefer to dance to my own beat I prefer to sing my own song I prefer to live - do you wanna come along? (Ephemere - Eternal Travelers pt. III) NEW ALBUM RELEASED: Check out my synth-rock band EPHEMERE's latest, the wonderfully synth-heavy LP "Hobos & Architects": www.ephemere.de |

Woohoo! I'm not the only one who likes it!
But I don't think that will be the style of the new album... It rather seems to me that the band is having fun with the songs they offer for download. [smile2] |
