Nervosity
What makes you nervous and why??
Alright, i'll go first!! Next Saturday I'm going to the school prom and I'm so nervous that I think I'm gonna pass away soon. I have the dress, I have the hairstyle, the shiny white gloves, the shoes and everything else that is necessary. I also have someone to go with, and there's the problem. The boy I'm going with is the flame in my heart since 1.5 years, and I'm so afraid that something will go wrong, like that i'll brake my leg with the high heels..or just simply that he will be bored to death with me. I know him pretty well as he is the son of those that I rent my apartement from..but... Could anyone give me some advice how I could stop worrying? |

Having more belief in yourself and stop worrying! I had it to and I started to belief in that if I really wants something I can do it. Maybe you should do the same thing.

No matter how nervous you are, he is probably even MORE nervous (though you might not think so). Think of that.
Besides, don't worry BEFORE, then you'll have to worry TWO times! Take care |

Get yourself a drink and relax. You are supposed to have fun, and I'm sure you will. And if he gets bored, he is the one with bad taste when it comes to girls, because you are very pretty dear!
Since I'm active in politics, I have to meet a lot of new people. I hate to speak in front of a lot of people, taking tv-interviews and such things. But I did survive an interview with the newspaper and since then, it feels a bit better. Just do it, that's my advice! Christina |

Being nervous is natural (I used to get sooooo nervous) but at least for me I always found that once the date actually started all the nerves melted away and I had a wonderful time...you will too :). Practice walking in your high heels and if you have time, go for a walk before the prom, that always helped me to relax. Like Anja said, be yourself, that is always best. Have fun Maiju!

Someone gave me this piece of advice once: When you're nervous and fear that you will trip every step, make the table glasses drop, or hit someone without intention, just try to move slowly, so you don't feel clumsy... you'll be more and more confident knowing you're in control of your movements and you will relax...
About the boy... well, you have nothing to be nervous about... just like they say, be yourself, and (Jonatan is likely to be right) let him be the one to worry |
