There is indeed some similarity. Just like the rhythm line in "Heaven on Earth" and "Lady in Red". But, as wise old King Solomon said, "There is nothing new under the sun". Suppose there must be repetition at some point, with or without inspriation.

It's no secret AV get their inspiration from various existing sources. I remember my sister during her piano lessons back then, she was playing the Afternoons In Utopia tune so I scratched my head :) The Flame tune sounded also familar to me the 1st I came to hear it, but I can't put the finger on the original one, or, as I once posted, a short bit of Soul Messiah is entirely a copy/paste from Pink Floyd (Waiting For The Worms to come).
Still, no one can "Bend It Like Marian" :)
