Hi Mateusz,
I wouldn't have thought we don't have a topic about them. APP is Alan and Eric Woolfson. Alan became big when he (excellently) worked as an engineer for Pink Floyd at Abbey Road when they did Dark Side Of The Moon. Even though he allegedly had been paid like a tea boy. According to Nick Mason, drummer of PF, they offered him a lot to work with him again after that huge success of DSOTM. He refused and he must have known what he did, because his following albums as APP reached worldwide fame. Actually I think his first one, Tales Of Mystery And Imagination, from 1976, is still his best and quite a revolutionary thing. It took my brother and me years to figure out one of their songs. Every so often, during sports games, you would hear one song in particular, and after a YouTube search a couple of weeks ago, I found out it was APP's "Sirius."
Had to tell him as soon as I found out. Neither of us had heard a whole lot from the band apart from "Eye in the Sky," and he thought it was something from Emerson, Lake and Palmer. Understandable, but still... You bet I had to thank the YT uploader for bringing up that vid! Hello, my friend... |

Incredible there isn't a topic about APP, but fine one has been started.
My favourite albums are Tales of Mystery and Imagination, where they made great musical arrangements out of Edgar Allan Poe's stories, and Ammonia Avenue, where Don't Answer Me was included... DAM is one of my favourite teenage songs, btw. [smile2] |

Really?
It's a fine topic they chose, but maybe I shall need to listen more carefully... I'm only attracted to a couple of songs there... |
