I wonder what name the single will have....
From the songs at DS9 I think "New Light" will be a great single. I hade a party at my home the same day Alphaville released the song on the net. I played the song several times that evening, and later the non-alphaville fans tryed to sing the song in the bar later that night. Asked me how the lyrics was and so on... A fresh and fast song.... My friends liked the song anyway.....and I love the live-version.....great version. Hopeful will Alphaville release some live-recordings with "New Light" from the tour this year. Would be so GREAT!!!! |

Who says thereīs gonna be any singles off the CDs??
But if there is, the only DS9 songs I feel could become singles are: Waiting for the new light Miracle healing Shadows she said Zoo (cage 5) The other songs are in my opinion either too thin musically or the chorus is too weak. But thereīs a couple more with potential if they are given a major "facelift" in the studio! - Bernhard show us the stuff!!! |

I really don't understand the negative commentarys on DS9 - it's a great album, I feel and I tend to like it better than Salvation. I dont think there will be singles nor do I think it will be available in offline-shops, but we can still dream...of a superb video-clip to NewLight. Or a disco in which they play a remix of Shadows. Also Moongirl or the parralel girlz and And as for Love wouldn't make the worst singles, too. Weak? No way!

@Streetside Romeo: Those songs you mention (especially And as for love which I really love) are some of those DS9 songs which I feel are too thin musically in the demoversions but have potential if they are given a major studio facelift! Iīm not saying that those songs are weak just that they are not single material as they are now - itīs just my opinion anyway.....
And I donīt think thereīs gonna be any singles either. |

I still feel something is very strange with this release - Dreamspaces 9 was originally promoted as an online experiment by Marian, but now itīs part of the tour and new album - why?

What Alphaville should do (in my opinion) is release Dreamscapes 9 as an unique online CD, and work on a "real" new album with new songs released by record company, but I guess itīs easier to say than do.

I agree Willy, but I doubt very much that they will change their minds in the last minute and release DS9 seperately!
One reason why they are putting the DS9 songs onto another and bigger album could be to make it an Alphaville release instead of just a Marian+friends album like the DS9 project is....but I donīt know.... |
