"Baum begießen" is maybe more common in smaller villages? Or more typical for western Germany? I know it from the region in nothern Germany where I come from, it's common here in Bonn and especially in the little villages of the Eifel and my friend Shrotty from southern Germany (Schwaben) knows (and practise!) it as well in the little village where she lives. Thanks for your pic too, Pitesina! I like high and thin trees, search for them every year because they don't need so much space. |

I like the shape of the high and thin trees but they're way too high for my flat.

Reason: Christmas cheer spelling style.

The point is, I have the height (ceiling is 2,75 m) but not the width (at least not if I will use the balcony during the comming weeks which I need to because it's my accessible fridge these days). The living room is only 17 square metres "big".
Therefore the shape of Pitesina's tree would be perfect for me as well. |

I usually use my balcony as a walk-in fridge during winter too but not this year as we have had mice..

Going to buy this year's tree today. The local Feuerwehr have a little Xmas market in the village and sell some cute trees but you have to be quick off the mark if you want a decent one. They've been selling for almost two hours today so I hope I'm not too late.
Little girl downstairs brought this year's biscuits she made with her mum about half an hour ago so I gave her a choccie Weihnachtsmann |

Our christmas isn't well in these year. I can't buy presents for my kids, while the Bafög isn't coming soon! That is worse.
But I wish everyone a nice christmas! |
