Ephemere - Progessive Synth-Rock

Hey, here we go again. After I had posted some fragments of songs of mine under General Conversation >>Own Songs I make up a topic for my own music project, Ephemere. The Demo-CD is just recorded and the post-production in progress before sending it out. The homepage will be online soon, too.
To celebrate this and to make you a bit curious here is my latest song (and don't get shocked - it expresses neither my oppinion nor my mood ;) ).
Love,
Jan Schoenmakers/Rasmus/Streetside Romeo

[u]Love's a lie</u>

What i want's your body
I just can't deny
Your soul is not what matters
And love is just a lie

Eating up your hours
Making false dreams fly
Won't tell you my name, girl
'Cause love is just a lie

Too many times I built my life
On bridges we call love
These burning feelings told me lies
Of paradise above

Too many aims that I ignored
To make the wrong birds sing
Turned into hate what I adored
What rests is not one thing

Too many days I spent to save
Illusions we can't keep
And built up houses stone for stone
For what I'd never reap

'Cause love's the devil
Buring whisper
Hypnotizer
Lifeline twister

Fake religion
Sweet illusion
Sex's magician's
Soul infusion

Never more
I'll chase black holes
Built a wall
Around my soul

What I want's...

Here's where I will go to
nothing like despair
Passion is my goddess
Fire in her hair

She leads me to the places
Where I fall for the crown
Where bodies leave their traces
And individuals drown

Where what we feel is extasy
That's all - there's nothing more
Far from former naive dreams
We crave for our whores

'Cause love is evil
Blocks yourself
Compromisses
Five to twelve

Like a slave
Bound in chains
Sacred freedom
What remains?

All is broken
Deep inside
And love left
Within the tide

What I want's...

of the songs available, I think I like Song of a Siren the best.

I know how hard it is to create songs. I've made 7 songs for my son Evan's birth now 4 weeks ago. It took me well over 8 months of work in my sparetime. I think you worked very hard to create yours, at least it sounds like it! You seem to have to same problem as I: to get the soundquality right. I think Song Of A Siren is the best song as well.

I\'m dancing on the roof of your mind...

Dear Dreamers!
Sorry for my long absence - I am very busy with working for university and -most of all- a good and cheap studio to drop into for some hours or days.
@boblinda: Exactely! On CD it sounds allright. Rough but allright. But whenever I transfer it from CDA to MP3 it starts to lose a lot of its sound quality, no matter with which software. That sucks a bit and I fear that I will have to organise better technology (see above)...and that costs...!!!
@hardin: Thanx! In fact, song of a siren has very strong beat&bassline, but unfortunately it cannot really be heard on mp3 as its such a bad quality and the treble is very strong while the bass does not really shine through. Synthsolo...it's nothing but a demo, I'm still working on ideas for the enhanced version :-)
@agnes: We had some talk via mail before I have not forgotten - I will come back to it as soon as I have some time left!
Thanx 2 U all 4 Ur feedback, hope you keep on following the shapes of my things to come with interest!
