I'm joining you with the chocolate Sophie. It's annoying when that sort of thing happens, you do your best and something you can't control makes it all pointless.
Meanwhile my stomach is tied up in knots over the referendum so also overdosing on chocolate. ....it was them what drove me to drink!" [drunk] Grandad, Only Fools and Horses (UK sitcom) |

What's worse is that I didn't even have a vote or that's how it feels. Out of the 32 councils in Scotland the results of 31 were in when the result was called. The Highlands were delayed by a road fatality stopping delivery of some ballot boxes. So ours were announced after the vote was called. It feels like the whole of the Highlands might as well have stayed home. Meanwhile the Westminster public schoolboy born to rule brigade have got their smirks back.
There's an air of shock around here. The enthusiastic debates have all gone, the people singing revolutionary Italian songs (yes, really!) on the High Street have packed up. People are back to not talking to each other. We could have governed ourselves and stopped letting elites kick people when they're down, but we handed our power over. People may have been frightened by the idea of independence, and the changes coming with.

You mean the videos of "yes" votes in the "no" pile? Not sure what to think of that. Concentrating now on the fact that I'll leave for Glasgow after work on Thursday and fly to Paris on Friday morning. Let's just hope I don't run into one of those riots in Glasgow. Concentrating on my holiday now....

So... after two years I moved to my new place I finally figured out how to storage things and manage the space in my home office. It felt like decluttering years of useless hoarding, even though I didn't get rid of anything (that I did two years ago before moving).
Funny, there is more dust than there was last week when I wiped it out, but it looks cleaner today. *phew!* |

You're lucky, Malila, our last move was 12 years ago, and in some parts of our home, it's always a big mess.
Well, let's be honest : we are always changing things : adding a new room, changing the color of the walls.... so there's always a mess somewhere. |
