Something to look forward to
A couple of years ago I planned a New Year's resolution" always plan something to look forward to". I'm sticking with it. It doesn't have to be a big event, a new book to read, Friday and no responsibilities.
I thought we could post those little (and sometimes big) moments to look forward to on here. Just a little reminder of the good things when life is hard. To start I have a long weekend and Mum and I are going to Edinburgh, staying at a hotel with a pool and having an evening out and shopping couple of days. Bliss. Next weekend as well as Mum's birthday it's bonfire night in Ballachulish a village near my parents. The fire and fireworks are held in a disused slate quarry with the fireworks on a boat on a small lake. In early December it's my family's annual Holland and Belgium trip known as "Gannet Tours". Then Christmas! I'm posting this as sometimes when work's hard I post about that but the happy moments deserve a mention. Oh yes and I have a really tasty chicken curry for my dinner and a pastry for after. Little things count too. [jump2] ....it was them what drove me to drink!" I don't know how it happened, but I'm just not looking forward to anything. It's nothing like back in childhood when living from anticipation to anticipation. It was fun, but then all the events just float in one boat, without any special meaning even shortly after the happened.
Thank you, Dreamscapes, for opening up new dreamscapes to this young soul. |

What a wonderful idea, Clare! [love2]
I'm looking forward to Sunday Shopping downtown in the most beautiful weather (blue sky, sun and again temperatures up to 20 °C) this afternoon and after that I will have a cosy evening with my favourite thriller on telly alone on my sofa after four great days together with two friends from afar. Oh yes, and I'm looking forward to Omegas next anticipation of something to look forward to. |

I'm looking forward to my free afternoons, to have fun ! painting, reading, sewing... lot of things indeed, with a nice pot of tea or coffee, and a little piece of cake.

I like this new conversation! Well I have to say I'm looking forward to the holiday season. I know, im crazy for getting excited about it but after seeing some Christmas commercials and Christmas decorations in the stores now, I can't help but not to get excited. In fact, our Christmas tree is up and decorated. That is what I'm looking forward to now!

Right now I'm only focusing in short-term little things, so I'm looking forward to Sunday chat.

OK let's try again.
My brother and I (we live on opposite sides of the United States) are planning to surprise my mom (who lives in the middle of the U.S.) for her birthday on January 1st. We're going to show up on her doorstep unannounced. In March, I'm traveling to San Francisco for a reunion weekend with some dear friends.
