I'm in Belfast. Going over to the Crown in a few minutes. I stuck my head in but it was packed. Realised I need food before beer so will return once blood sugar restored. I'll be the one in the dreams capes thirty.

Disappointing
Edit..3 songs only. BIJ. SLAM. FY. Game over after that. The band put their heart into it. But 3 songs? Only band that played instruments. Fair play to them but not suited to this tour.

I posted about this problem weeks ago. They are playing with other bands, and probably used every instrument and PA. You traveled all the way, over 100 miles to see them, and you are disappointed. I took the route to Hamburg and they were excellent. Man, tell us more about the trip. Why are Alphaville playing with other shit bands from the 80s-90s? Alphaville are bigger than the others that are on the list. How many of those bands have 2 rare box sets, A very rare box that has a show in LA, and over 15 albums to their name, including rare 7" and 12 " recordings?
I'm beginning to think that the band are doing this for money, and not their fans. Marian should pull out of this racket and announce a full tour in Europe. 3 songs, and many fans traveling to the show is wrong I'm gliding in the distance and watch the world go by An orbit full of questions, a perforated sky

Ah, I had night out. It's not the end of the world. I'm not sure I'll go to the Dublin show though. Not worth it for 3 songs. All the other acts were not my cup of tea either. The backing dancers were like pans people. Funny.

Looking back on it with a day or 2 since it was on, I can't help but feel it was a very bad deal for av fans. There might have only been 7 of is there! But still 80 euro a ticket each, multiply that by 5, a night in a hotel. That's a serious amount of cash for just 3 songs. There's no way I'm going to pay for that in Dublin. Mart is right, AV are not suited to this tour. I think they went on early in the night because the promoters didn't know what to do with them. The crowd which send to be like a 100 hens parties haha, were there to rave to the 90s bangers tunes, which is fair enough, but not the type of music AV is known for.
I was high up in the stands, maybe it was better at the front of the stage, maybe Claire can let us know what she thought? My daughter is a big fan and she was very disappointed with only 3 songs. The promo is misleading for this tour, it looks like AV is headlining this tour because their name is first on the list, so I thought their set would be longer for that reason. Ah well, Marts right, go to Europe to see them. |

One main reason that a fan goes to a show of their favourite band is to hear them live and hopefully a new track. To play 3 tracks that everyone knows and that they have played them in every show since the early 80s is very disappointing.
