FB update
----------------------------------------- Dear Friends, the last three days Tobi stayed at our home and we worked on the video for the next or maybe second next song of ALPHAVILLE's now monthly MONDAY'S FOR GOOD song series. The concerning song, though written 8 years before, has an astonishingly newsworthy message, or better said, it gained a lot of unpleasant actuality in the meantime. Nevertheless, the song as such in my humble opinion is quite enjoyable. And even more will it be the video, which we almost finished this weekend. So, during the last three days (and nights) Tobi and me dived so deeply into our project we were totally disconnected from what was happening in the outside world. That was the reason the sad news of Rupert Hine's passing reached us not until this Sunday morning. Rupert produced my second solo-album UNITED and it was a great experience with a great outcome. I fondly remember the time of production at his lovely estate and later on at the Plus XXX in Paris and at the Metropolis in London. He was the spitting image of my imagination of an English aristocrat, his tall and very fragile appearance reflected perfectly his sensitivity, his distinctive sense of style and his extremely esthetical perception. On the other hand, as an artist he had the playfulness and the curiosity of a child. Besides his impact as a reputable musical producer he composed three outstanding albums of his own, IMMUNITY, WAVING NOT DROWNING and THE WILDEST WISH TO FLY that belonged to the crownjewels of my record collection as a kid. Would I then have ever dared to imagine that once he would produce one of my own albums? Never. Hence when it finally happened it was a dream come true. Thank you for that, dear Rupert, and also for your recommendation for the coolest hotel in Paris. Marian Gold |

Can't help but love a good teaser with godlike numbers thrown in it for good measures. Thank you Marian, will try to look deeper at the end of the day.
Metropolis Studio -> United, Salvation + Forever Young unplugged (1996) Lund, Sweden -> Alphaville at Blekingska Nationen (12.4.1996) edit: (Keep the) Faith (Portobello) is also from London 1996, studio not named. Title fits nice with Moonbase post.

Strange, I've got Lund right in goolemaps, not at the exact place but hey, a 704 had to appear in a godlike post.
