Simon & Garfunkel
Saw them live in Copenhagen last night (32000 people) and it was amazing. They still sing wonderful together, their voice matches do well, and we got to hear all our favorite songs. The Everly Brothers were guests, and sang 3 classic love songs from the 50s and 60s.
My favorite Simon & Garfunkel song is "Sound of Silence" - the live version is even better, the chorus on guitar sounds great. http://www.simonandgarfunkel.com/ |

I love Simon&Garfuncle!
Actually I think Simon's voice is much better than Art's. Simon also made a great solo-album called "Rythm of the Saints" inspired by Latin American rythms and I think that's one of the best records ever made! Take care |

I'm absolutely in love with Paul Simon. He is a master songsmith and poet. A lot of his songs are pitched in a range that is difficult for me to sing in, but I still try. I love the blending of Simon and Garfunkel's voices, but I think Paul is the genius behind a lot of the music. "The Cool, Cool River" is brilliant lyrically. I love both the Rhythm of the Saints and Graceland albums, but the 1970's stuff I have a harder time enjoying, probably because...you know, 1970's.
Sound of Silence is also brilliant. Sheer brilliance. In the same sort of vein, Suzanne Vega is amazing. Love "Small Blue Thing" and "The Queen and the Soldier" in particular. Both Suzanne and Paul are reasons I'm trying to learn guitar. |
