Brilliant review Malila and it sums up my thoughts. (Apart from the French woman but I wasn't near her and I've developed a love of all things French recently) As for those of you that couldn't spend long in Paris, well it was nice to spend time with you, however short. Mumu, it's always fun to meet you whether in the chat or at a concert. Many more times I hope.

As for being home...

Really like Giants now, although on first hearing I wasn't too keen.

So see you this evening, Clare.

AV shows are really worth : great music, and meet great friends ! Heaven on Earth ! [smile2] (Even when the air conditionner is out of order *sigh*)

@Kaz : I've liked Giants and Mafia island almost at once. It's for The wine of astonishment that I need to hear several times before enjoying.

Almost all don't know that AV still exist.

Big In Japan / Sounds Like A Melody / Forever Young were aired in loop, and then Dance With Me too. Sensations was the last single I heard on a french (local) radio station at the time. Who knows another song from Eagles but "Hotel California" ;)

Only Eagles' core fans, I think.

I've heard IDFYT in Montbéliard, once, three years ago. I stopped walking as I was surprised to hear a recent song in France.

Ahem, The Eagles had a few great songs, and so did Don Henley. (Just saying)

Anyway, in Mexico you'll be lucky if people know BIJ and FY.

@Clare: I think it's time to consider a more French way of living.

A comment in regard to your anekdote Malila:
I tried to grab a spot in the first row but 3 people, obviously in company, were in my way. I started talking to one of them and to my astonishment and annoyment these 3 were locals from Paris who regularly visit Le Divan Du Monde to see whatever's on that night. They had never heard of Alphaville and had no idea it was an anniversary concert with long-time fans flown in from all over the world. However, they were kind enough to move along a bit and offer me that little spot and I was grateful for that. But it got me thinking of all those fans who didn't manage to get a ticket no matter how hard they tried.

Another thing about the tickets: My ticket wasn't properly checked at the door as to its authenticity. I was surprised at how slack the guards were; I could have made copies of mine for all the fans who missed out!

Mine was checked properly. Maybe it was cause' there was a lot of people waiting.
