Thanks to all of you. I don't mind telling you that I'm a little nervous about Tuesday. If this swelling is close to my ear drum, I really don't know how they're going to be able to get to it.

Okay, so here's the update on this whole ear problem:
First off, there may be some improvement with the drops I had been taking, but the inconvenience was the residue that it left around it. So I've been given some lighter stuff, hoping that one of the medicines, more alcohol-based, will help take care of it. And the fact that the swelling is not as deep in the ear as I had thought is more than reassuring. So, I'm trying out this new stuff for a week, and if need be, I'll see what else needs to be done.
