He is great!
I dont know about Guitars but i really like the sounds on Universal Daddy and Dance With Me (it is a guitar, right...?) oh and Euphoria of course !!!

Hi there,

Sorry to disagree :(

I value Frank Mertens very much because he contributed to the composition of the very first ( and most known ) album.

But, there came a time in the late'80's, early 90's that demanded that the depth and power of the songs were presented with a more powerful sound. I think even Marian enjoys guitars ( not big solos, just power-chording in sync with the voice and synth ) in his and others' music.

Just a thought,

i hope he'll get into this forum..and marian as well,but that might take a little longer:(
i think that frank sound in AV is better or would have been better that ricky..who knows,maybe AV would have been on the world charts still today.it would be cool to know more about mertens,cause all my time with AV has only been with ricky..too little time with frankie..besides he is cooler than rick..more 80's in this guy..yeah.

AV can be in the top charts right now if they will only RErelease SLAVATION and will do a good promo.

Flame is great but i think they need something more powerful for their "coming back"...
Like Guardian Angel, Wishful Thinking....
If they will take Wishful Thinking Physical Mix and will put it on the radio + will shoot a video clip than this is it - TOP CHARTS!!!
Do it now guys! give it a try!
come on!!! i wanna see all the members supporting me right here right now!
Maybe this will give AV the push they need...(i said maybe....was i too harsh...?)
