You know, I posted years ago, on the mailing list, how "In the Mood" was referring to Jack Torrance in "The Shining".
Moonbase even has it reposted it on their revamped website under the "Forever Young" LP/CD. It puts a smile on my face to see references to it popping up more and more. |

The intro song is not credited, but there were many clues :
Midnight, The Stars And You (Al Bowlly/Ray Noble), from the movie "The Shining". Midnight with the stars and you Midnight and a rendez-vous Your eyes held a message tender Saying "I surrender all my love to you" Midnight brought us sweet romance I know all my whole life through I'll be remembering you Whatever else I do Midnight with the stars and you

Hello, taking back to LMFM mystery. I have always been wondering about intro lines spoken in an old-style by a female voice, where it comes from, and what means. And guess what? Looks like it was the voice by Bess Houdini, Harry Houdini's wife, spoken during the very last attempt to connect with him via spiritual seance in 1936: "... my last hope is gone. I do not believe that Houdini can come back to me or to anyone... Spirit communication in any form is impossible. I do not believe that ghosts or spirits exist. Houdini shrine has burned for ten years. I now reverently turn out the light. It is finished. Good hight Harry!'
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fy7HfnjgaLk her voice starts at 5:45 approx. I hope some of you find this curious. Cheers.

In the depths of the forum must lie a parallel thread where we discussed this. @Mods: maybe it needs a thread merge?
Anyhow one of the song I regularly listen in my car when I commute. |
