Bootleg AV CD's
I've always found unofficial / bootleg things from various countries such as Russia to be so fascinating. For instance, in Russia there are dedicated groups which used to translate PlayStation 2 games so they're localized in Russian. They're usually really well made and are almost as if they're official.
I was on eBay a few days ago and was looking at the selection of Alphaville CD's and I saw 2 bootleg albums: All Gold of The World - It has the same tracks as First Harvest King of World Music - It has the same tracks as Forever Young I went ahead and bought them since I probably won't see them again on there. That, and as I said, I have a bit of an interest in stuff like this. They also have a few bootleg cassette tapes (one of which is a counterfeit Forever Pop) and I plan on picking a few of those up as well. Attached are images of the 2 CD's which I bought yesterday (one has shipped already!).

I remember going to Gorbushka, an electronic market in Moscow, several times and found more than 10 variants of AV bootleg CDs being sold (it was in 2005). The best souvenir I ever bought from Russia, though, was original copy of Crazyshow Boxset which I got from a CD store in GUM of Red Square.

All Gold of The World arrived and I was going to rip it in Windows Media Player, and it recognized the CD as being "First Harvest". Very interesting. The CD holder in the case is partially busted, but it came shrinkwrapped and new. I'm happy :) I just gotta wait for King of World Music to come in from Russia...

King of World Music arrived! The tracks on it seemed to have been edited prior to being pressed on the disc. They're not 1:1 copies of Forever Young's tracks since the phase inversion trick I use doesn't cancel out the song entirely.

I can confirm, bootlegging was so much more prevalent in Russia and Eastern Europe in general. And it probably still is. The reason why bootlegs were so well made there is simple, they were being done buy enthusiasts.
