My dad just bought the Coolpix S8000...The lens cover is really flimsy, it's just a little plastic thingy that slides and I was wondering if that's a problem on those cameras? It takes awesome pictures, I have to say.

I might consider this brand new Panasonic camera with Full HD video, the quality is amazing, and it's just a tad bigger than my DMC-TZ10, it's called DMC-GF2:

Using the Iphone camera these days. My faithful old Canon IS20 is @ my dad's house, in France, and my Panasonic's Lumix FS30 battery is run down and I can't find the charger for it...

Last year I bought a Nikon D5100 with 18-55mm and 55-300mm lenses and am absolutely loving it (as those of you on my facebook who have to endure my never ending onslaught of photo albums can attest!!) I am absolutely blown away sometimes by he pictures that I get........ I used a Nikon Coolpix for many years but this camera allows me to get the photos that I always wanted to get but just couldn't with a point and shoot!! Worth the money spent for sure!!!

Keep posting the photos Russ, they're great.
I still have my Canon EOS350D which is probably ancient now but I love using it. I also have a Lumix point and shoot which I bought in March. Not sure of the model number. ....it was them what drove me to drink!" [drunk] Grandad, Only Fools and Horses (UK sitcom) |
