I'm absolutely in love with Paul Simon. He is a master songsmith and poet. A lot of his songs are pitched in a range that is difficult for me to sing in, but I still try. I love the blending of Simon and Garfunkel's voices, but I think Paul is the genius behind a lot of the music. "The Cool, Cool River" is brilliant lyrically. I love both the Rhythm of the Saints and Graceland albums, but the 1970's stuff I have a harder time enjoying, probably because...you know, 1970's.

Sound of Silence is also brilliant. Sheer brilliance.

In the same sort of vein, Suzanne Vega is amazing. Love "Small Blue Thing" and "The Queen and the Soldier" in particular. Both Suzanne and Paul are reasons I'm trying to learn guitar.

The future exists, first in Imagination, then in Will, then in Reality.
