Cool interview! Nice to read something like that in English as I'm a hopelessly mono-lingual like most Americans and all the German-only media generated about the band is mostly impenetrable to me.

Steroids are, at their core, anti-inflammatory drugs. spending the better part of 40 years belting out pop songs at the top your lungs is going to destroy anyone's vocal chords. There's no way around that.

The comment about them not being musicians is really interesting, since there's a lot of complex things going on their first couple albums. It really does speak to the amazing music machines allow people to create.
