Hopefully I can get Marian to sign my Strange Attractor CD :) Knowing me, I'll bring my whole damn set.... Just kidding. I don't know if I could get close enough to him as it is... Security. That is, unless they have signing times. Does Marian usually do that type of stuff?

I was wondering the same thing too. This is my first AV concert so I don't really know what to expect. Haha I would have him sign everything AV related items I own along with taking a photo with him! [laugh] It's his first US concert (since 1999)..his first concert in Chicago so maybe he will?!

I hope I can get a picture with him. gosh I'd be the happiest person in the world... it would be a moment I'd never forget.

I wish I could go but I can't travel at the minute until a) my flat is sold and b) the kittens are settled into their new home. Have a great time all!

My wife and I will be at the NYC concert on Week 1 (meeting up with some fans for dinner prior to the concert) and we're going to the LA concert on Week 2 (with Brady and his wife). It's a shame that there doesn't seem to be any fan 'meet and greet' this time around.

So the Chicago theater is hosting a meet and greet event for Alphaville! I'm so excited that I am able to meet Marian! It's going to be such an amazing experience!

Really?! wow, i hope they do something similar in San Jose.

They just added a meet and greet to San Jose, and to all of the U.S., shows it looks like. An extra $100 ticket per person. While that's in-line with the cost of most meet-and-greets I've seen or been to at concerts, it's a little too much money for us considering this concert already involves airline tickets, hotels, etc. :) It'll be excitement enough to see them in concert!

They also added pre-ordering of concert t-shirts, which is a nice idea.

I'm so glad they're doing meet and greets for the US shows. Of course I had to purchase a tshirt as well! There goes my paycheck for this week! It's worth every bit of it though. It's a once in a lifetime event! But yeah I'm sure the airfares and hotels adds up fast but the concert will definitely be worth it all!

@Willy: Aw, such a shame.


@Marco: Have you tried contacting Claudia? Maybe you can find a way to meet them anyway. After all, you're an "old" fan and it's a long trip. :)

I received a wonderful surprise this morning. Thank you to whoever made it happen :)
Although it will be sad to have missed Martin Lister on this tour (a week doesn't go by without him crossing my mind); it will be sweet to introduce Marian to my wife who was only introduced to the music of Alphaville a decade ago by me when we first met.

What surprise did you receive? :)

Who is going to the NYC Show? A few of us are meeting at "South Beach Restaurant and Lounge" a few hours prior for dinner and drinks. It's only a 10-minute walk to the venue.

Anyone have a sense how tickets to the U.S. shows have sold? Going by the ticket sites, it looks like the NY and San Jose shows have sold the best so far, but neither is a sell out or even close to it. But that's just judging from what seats show as "available" on the ticket sites, and I know that's not always an accurate measure.

Certainly want to see the band's first US tour ever go well for them and everyone involved!

A can not wait for see Alphaville at NYC the venue is fantastic, by the way acustic is very good too

Someone posted a few songs from the Houston show last night on YouTube already. The band and Marian sound great! Super, super excited for the San Jose show next week. Those of you going to the New York and Chicago shows, looking forward to hearing your impressions.

How wonderful! I'm seeing AV tomorrow and so excited! The best part is going to be the meet and greet! I can't believe I'm really going to meet Marian! It's such an honor and an experience of a lifetime!

Had a few messages from my very good friend The Outsider, who is backstage with the band at all the shows. He's having the time of his life and I'm loving the updates. The band is super pumped for all the shows. Would have been great to have been there, but I can do it vicariously through him. He's a star.

I'm so glad that they are doing this tour so US and Canadian fans can enjoy what we take for granted. Have a great time Nicole! Can't wait to hear all about it.

NYC was a Powerful concert, all band are fantastic, Marian always is brilliant, y can't ask for more just comeback soon,❤️.

I have also been following The Outsider's and MikeInBoston's updates. The shows have been amazing for what I've seen. I'm so glad they've been doing so many! ^_^

Lots of videos from the NY show up on YouTube. Another great show. I can't get over how good Marian sounds. Not that he sounds *bad* or anything on other videos, but singing live is hard! And he just sounds so in the grove on these shows:
