Alphaville 30th anniversary fan project
 

We have received this message from Claudia (Alphaville manager):

...beside planning how to surprise the fanbase, I thought about surprising Marian and need your help, if possible.

I would like you to ask your members if they like to take part in this:

• Do a short film in which you tell about your ultimate Alphaville experience/moment looking back to 30 years. You could say a Happy-Birthday-wish to Marian/Alphaville.
• Record a foto-show or perform a cover of your favorite AV song.
• Show your favorite AV related location or present anything Alphaville related that has a special connection to you.

The videos will be presented to Marian and the band after the Anniversary-concert in Paris, displayed on stage.
They will also be uploaded to a special "Alphaville Fanbase" -Channel at YouTube and also a Facebook.
(only if it's ok for the respective author of the video)

It might be a nice way for everyone, even on the other side of the world, to be a part of the Anniversary Event.

Marian has no clue about this project!! That's why I would like to ask you to treat it as secretly as possible.

Project name: "30 years and seconds" The movies should not exceed 30 seconds.

The deadline for contributions is 27/7. And this is the day Willy send the contributions to Claudia so you can't wait until midnight on this day to send your videoclip.

We know that Marian Gold visit the forum from time to time as a guest so in order to try and avoid him finding out about this project we have started this thread in this category because it is invisible to guests who visit the forum. It is therefor also very important that you don't discuss this project elsewhere in the forum.

It is going to be very exciting to view all the videos when the project goes "on air". And hopefully Marian will be pleased.

Excellent idea! I'll participate.

Changing the subject, the band should play songs never played before in this concert. We should ask Claudia to see what can be done. Then, they open a poll on facebook or here , so we can choose the songs... Two or three songs never played before...! It's a dream of anyone here :)

Just hope that no-one with access to this part of the forum is in contact with Marian and drops a hint...unlikely but you never know.

I'm in, and already know what to film -hee hee-, but the deadline is a bit short ;)

Wouldn't it be great to choose one song and have different people singing (saying) different parts, and then to put it all together as a video montage? You would have to sing the whole song though and then someone with the know-how would have to chop bits out and put it all together. Each person's part would be less than 30 seconds. Or it could be a side-project along with this main one.

Maybe one of you fan club leaders would like to suggest this to Claudia?

@jetset: I agree about the deadline being early. The only reason why we have set it THAT early is that the German fanclub Golden Feeling have their deadline set for April 21 and we are afraid that they might know something we don't know about when Claudia needs to have all the contributions.

But hopefully we will be able to move the deadline to a later date when we know more....but right now there's no promises....especially because we don't even know in which month the anniversary concert will take place...

A new series of photos on the same style as Around The Universe would be awesome.

When will the event in Paris be? I am in Germany from June 27th - July 17th, unfortunately (maybe) not with my wife who I first met for 1 minute in Prague DEc. 2009.
