„This song by the years went through many transformations, after all 21 versions survived. And it is hard to believe that they are all very different from each other. That fact probably becomes less remarkable if you consider the total production time, which embraces 11 years. Demo no.1 developed on Friday 22 of July, 2005.



I remember when I first tried to sing on the music Rainer had created, I was really in trouble because of the unusual chord structure of the verses. Or more precisely, because of the possibilities this chord structure offered to my singing. It also enabled me to incorporate a little clue to my biggest

musical hero, a short "interjection" I stole from his song ASHES TO ASHES. And it definitely makes sense in the context of our song. (…)“

The interjection is the refrain Wo oh wo wo that is clearly said in Bowies song

Did listen to it right now.....and WOW, butter than the album-version. And when the tempo increases at 3:40...WOW [love][love][love] Have to listen more to it!

Enigma was many, many moons ago actually what was supposed to be released on AlphavilleNow. Remember the visual with the Space-Lips we used for „Kalte Asche“? That one was actually intended for ENIGMA.

I love this song so much. you have have no idea how much i enjoyed visualising the trip through the wormhole ending up with the dancing girl. A happy moment discovering footage that fittet so awesomely.

well done Tobi!!! That video is really good!! Yes, I have to admit I like this version better than the album version, but it does make you wonder what other styles they wandered into trying to nail down the sound that they wanted! So Tobi........ which demo were you originally going to release on AlphavilleNow? Was it demo 15 or yet another version?
