The first time I heard Dance With Me
I guess that the lyrics was like this;

when the [u]heel of life</u> melts into the speeding time...
...and you meet me there under the [u]ivoryshine</u>
it's more than a dream [u]baby</u>, we're reaching the gardens of Delight
:)

then; have you refected over the fun accent
in Summer in Berlin
"the sound of the traffic is like [u]a</u>..."

And I think it sounds more;

[u]into</u> the sun
which is the [u]start of the payment</u>
feel so [u]fun</u>

Sometimes it's fun to hear AV english accent

Great topic: I used to think that "she said, I've seen your deepest secrets now
they're just as lightning in the look of your eyes" was...I've seen you through the secret son, your dress is lighting in the look of your eyes....Don't ask me how I came up with that....I also mistook "somewhere my friend had left me in that twilight zone" As Somewhere my friend you left me in that red light zone"...I read the lyrics when I stole Nickas record though and made sure I corrected those mistakes...No wonder she would give me the evil eye when I would sing that song HeH!!!!

i have no idea why, but I thought Marian was saying in Red Rose "a teenanger empress with pineapple eyes"
is outsider here? wasn't there a song when you thought he said "I wish I were a gynecologist?"

Oh, when the first time I heard "Big in Japan"
I was think it was "Made in Japan",
I think it was a song to the industry
'cause everything today reads "Made in Japan"
toys, electronic, tv's, cars etc etc.

So when I went to the record store to buy
the "Forever Young" album, I was wondering...
hmmm... where's "Made in Japan"???
Big in Japan... hmmm... time to wash my ears :)

I was sitting at the table and singing very very quiet... My brother was near me and after listening for a while asked: "Do you realize what you sing?" Firstly I didn't understand what he meant but then I saw... I was singing words of BIJ on the melody of FY. And it sounded like:

big in japan
i want to be big in japan
do you really want to be so big there

Isnt that true?? We miss one little thing, and misunderstand everything. If I write "I love you *s*" that little "s" is very important if I just want to be ironic!

when you write a new message, you have these options above the box where you write the actual message, there is a box with different fonts where it normally sais "Times New Roman", the Font I used in that message was "Comic Sans MS"...you should find it there...:)

Talking about lyrics, @ english natives : is "monkey in the moon" an english expression to say "dreamer" ? Why IN instead of (UP)ON ?

Kaz

No idea, though I know we say 'man in the moon' so it could be based on that. Neve understood what monkey in the moon means anyway

Kaz, what "man in the moon" means ? i'm a "man in the haze" :)

Kaz
14 Nov 2003, 20:35
@ Jetset
If you look at the moon you see a 'face' (made by the shadows from the moon's craters). We call that the man in the moon and we just say that he's watching us from time to time. Sometimes, when we don't want to do something, we say we feel as much like doing it as the man in the moon...I have no real idea why to be honest.

When i first listened to the song, i thought it had something to do with Apollo missions, when they sent a chimp in the space ! (laughs afterwards)
The whole song is a riddle...
