Well Adi...you like alot of the same music as I do.....it must be "You´re a woman" by Bad Boys Blue.

"You´re a woman - I´m a man
This is more than just a game
I can make you feel so right
Be my lady of the night"

Hey !
Im looking for 2 songs - both from the 80's of course <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

1. A male is singing :
"Do you remember BLA BLA BLA
Do you remember BLA BLA BLA
.
.
.
.
I've never meant to break your heart
but you've broke mine...."

2. Starts with a beautiful synth melody and then comes a shout.
Its a high vocal - not sure if its a man or a woman......
at the end the singer repeats on these words :
"Run-away
Turn-away
Run-away
Turn-away......"

Anyone ?!?

No. 2 is definately "Smalltown boy" by Bronski Beat. The singer is Jimmy Sommerville. He´s male and he´s gay. He has a very special voice, very highpitch. "Smalltown boy" was the biggest hit of Bronski Beat, but try also to listen to the song "Why". Almost as good. They also made another great song called "Hit that perfect beat" a couple of years later with another singer. Jimmy Sommerville also had a hit called "Don´t leave me this way" with a band called "The Communards". Also a great song!!

The first one also sound very familiar, but I can´t figure out what it is just now....maybe it´ll come to me later, or someone else will figure it out.

Hello! I have been unsuccessfully searching - does anyone know, or know where I can find the lyrics to Hubert Kah's "So Many People"? I only have the single on vinyl, and there are no lyrics with it. (His CDs are soooo hard to come across in the States...) Maybe one of you know, since he's German...
Many thanks!!!!

Here it is. The Lyrics to "So Many People" by Hubert Kah. It was quite the challenge, a tough one to track down. Took me a few hours, but it is very satisfying to find something. [smile]

So many people die, I’ve got a dream they lived under the sun
So many people, so little time to reveal

So many people die, I’ve got a dream they lived under the sun
In so many numbers, so little time to reveal what they’ve done
Kissing the time bomb, private war

OCTOBER 26, 1988
IN THE HEADLINES:
CHAD WAR NEW OFFENSIVE
MORE THAN 300 PEOPLE KILLED
IRA CLAIMS POLICE KILLING

One in a million, on the road of my life
So many people go to war, so many people set on crimes
That I can’t take and I will carry the day

You know the paper boy running the store at the end of the road
So don’t you remember, he got a scene at the end of a rope
Hung like a soldier, brave and tall

JOHANNESBURG: RIOT POLICE
USING TEARS GAS AND CLUBS
CLASHED TUESDAY WITH
UNIVERSITY STUDENTS PROTESTING
NATIONWIDE ELECTIONS
WEDNESDAY FOR RACIALLY SEGREGATED
MUNICIPALS COUNCILS

One in a million, on the road of my life
So many people go to war, so many people set on crimes
That I can’t take and I will carry the day

So many people

One in a million, on the road of my life
So many people go to war, so many people set on crimes
That I can’t take and I will carry the day

So many people go to war, so many people set on crimes
That I can’t take and I will carry the day

Thank you Lassie!!! You're the best!!!! (Now that I have been searching for these lyrics for the last five years or so...[laugh])

And to Hardin...yeah, I have the 12" [star]. My fave is the remix (?), or the one that is not the long version or the dub. I love the intro! Slow until the drums and fast part kick in, however you explain that. I think it is perfect [bouncy].

Can anyone help me?... [shy] I'm searching for two mp3's for a long time... One of them is "Easy Lover" by Phil Collins and the other is "Love in Japan" by Fancy (seems that this Far-East theme was very popular in the 1980's [wink] If anyone knows a link where I could download them from, please, let me know! THANKS A LOT IN ADVANCE!!! [love2][bouncy]

@ Agnes: I would mainly suggest to try a file sharing program such as Kazaa-Lite or iMesh to find the songs. I couldnt find the "Love in Japan" song either for download from websites.

@Adi: yea, this Far-East theme was very popular in the '80's... [smile2] There was also a synth-pop band in the 1980's called Joy (they were from Austria) and they had a song "Lost in Hong Kong"... The beginning of the song reminds me a bit of Big in Japan though... [wink] But it's said that only good artists' ideas are stolen... [laugh]

@ Adi,
I was in the same situation with "I like Chopin", it took me several months to get to know who the performer was and buy the cassette...then I listened to it so frequently that one day when I was shopping with my Mom and we heard this song playing in the shop she at once noticed it and said, listen, that's your Alphaville playing! In her opinion, any music from my faves she recognizes, must be Alphaville :))))

We don't know why there ain't enough love is the alien years'
