I will be glad to learn where to find how to do the things Windows used to do for me all the time... the problem with new systems is that they're invented for people who won't go any further than hitting the keyboard and swiping the screen, but when you actually need to interact with the operative system, it becomes a real nightmare.

The more tchnology improves, the harder it is to figure out. I do like the improvent of technology, however, I feel it is way more complicated. Some technology, such as a tablet or an iPad is simple to me, but things like Windows 8 and some newer phones out there are very difficult to figure out. I Guess it's situations like getting something new and having to figure out how to use it but once you get used to it, is is quite simple. To me, I feel it is all confusing but I guess if you have the patience and time it becomes easier and easier.

Has anyone received an official Microsoft request for reserving a free update to Windows 10?
Should I reserve and install? |

My moms computer has a Windows 8 and she didn't get an update yet. My computer is too old for Windows updates, but if I could, I would definitely update to a windows 10. If you are a little skeptical about new updates, I would wait until the new update has been out for a little while and then read the reviews from others. You don't want to update and it turns out to be horrible.

It wouldn't be the first time I hate an update.
I have been reassured, but I'm still fearing it. *sigh* I'll take a look in stores before downloading anything, I think. [smile2] |

Yes I definitely agree! I would look into it a little more just until you feel that your ready! I'm sure it will be a good update, but it's always to be safe than sorry!

So... I have windows 10 now and I don't hate it.
It didn't mess up (almost) anything and that's good enough for me... I don't see anything better though, except that it's not optional switching off the tablet mode. I'll survive it. [smile2] |

Don't worry, Li'l Bunny, the world is not going to end... yet.
@Mumu: I think you adapt much more easily. I had a terrible time with Win 8; I'm growing old faster than I thought, apparently. [smile2] |
