i read some entries of the atlanticpopes guestbook, and i got stucked on one written like this:"eure musik ist echt scheisse"(= your music is real shit)
i mean..just because the internet is quite anonumous to everyone,they dont have to drop such comments!!!
ok the comment was short,but it struck my inside like a knife in my chest...not that it was a negative opinion,i mean folks can think what they want, but using other words than "this is shit".
im sure that it wouldnt hurt as much to read that someone doesnt like AP's music if the feeling of why this person didnt like the music could be expressed..
but in the way it was written gave me a thought that there is no specific feeling at all,just a heart of stone hiding behind that stupid line..grr

Some people have written stuff like that in the alphaville.org guestbook as well, but I can delete/edit every entry, as soon as I see it - I do check every day.

Well...I have to say, I really appreciate this discussion....you are all great.
And although I completely agree with Trentīs
long comment (wonderful) ...for me itīs absolutely okay if people say "crap"....as long as they are passionate, it still feels alright.
We know that we canīt please everybody (most of the times not even ourselves) all the time.
And isnīt it quiet obvious, that some songs are better than others...and that people have different tastes?
Passion, is what music is about!

well..i have to admit that i say that stuff like britney spears is shit..but i always tell why..and thats my point about the comment..you cant say that you dont like anything if you cant give it a sensable reason from your own heart and mind.

I accept that person if he says:
I hate AP, BECAUSE....

I always admired fuckers who are willing to pay enough time just to open other's site, look for the guestbook and sign it there just to spoil someone's blood. Those people are toxic and it is highly recommended to put their heads right into their butts.
I'm sorry, but I hate something like this - 'deconstructive critics'. It's only goal is to hurt other people's feelings.

well...iīve seen this guestbookentry...as you can imagine.
when we started the guestbook max and me decided to leave all the posts uncommented...
(we only delete a very few private messages)
īwe didnīt want to have any censorship...thatīs the main rule
when i read this specific post i had to laugh out loud.
the quality of explanaition is outstanding...itīs just a pity that he/she choose to stay anonymous...iīd like to discuss the "shit-topic" with him/her<img src=icon_smile_shock.gif border=0 align=middle>

but doesnt a comment like that make you consider strongly if the music really is shit??if someone tells me,eveb if its only one person of twenty ,that i do something that is shit from his opinion, i start to consider if it really is shit..but i dont change anything,cause i know that the more i keep on the better it'll get.
so whatever anyone ever writes to you about youe music:dont change a thing!!!

Iīm sure that Bernd and Max are enough grown up so they donīt care about that oppinion.
OK; you should listen to what everyone wants to say, but if there are someone just writing this is crap, without saying why, then there are no reason to worry, because this person donīt have anything to stand on when he/she says this! Do you understand?
And the mainthing, the most important thing is that Bernd and Max are satisfied with what they have made, no one else should come and say, change this because I donīt like it.
No one would release something they donīt like, and AP are the last one.
They like what they have done, most of us like what theyīve done, itīs enough.
