View Full Version : 3 Alphavillians on the cover

Is it only me thatīs wondering about the three Alphavillians on the cover of the upcoming remix album? Surely Härdin must be thinking if Frank Mertens could have something to do with it. If you take a look at the three cartoon characters on the cover it could easily be Marian, Bernhard and Frank. Of course Frank was a member of Alphaville when the original FY came out, but he isnīt any longer. Iīm sure that if fx Depeche Mode were to release a remix version of "Just canīt get enough" they wouldnīt include Vince Clarke on the cover unless he had rejoined the band.

What do you all think??

I think it is Rick, the guy has got long, brown hair. I am quite sure that it is Rick.

The guy on the left must be Marian and the big guy on the couch can only be Bernhard. Then we have a person with yellow hair. In my opinion it can either be one of the guys who have remixed the album, a new member of Alphaville or Frank Mertens.

I thought Bernd was the blond boy, in the early AV times he had blond hair.... I think the blond guy looks like Bernd...

I thought that guy with yellow hair was Frank... Guy with brown hair - Bernd and guy with black hair - Marian for sure.

Well..when I looked I thought the brown headed one was Ricky...his hair is pretty long aye? And the Blonde "The Greatest Bernd" and of course Mr Gold the black hair...But what threw me off was the brown headed one is tall...Hmmmm

I still think that guys are Marian, Bernd and Frank. They were members of AV when original FY was released.

I think so too Alien. I just wonder what Frankīs role is in this project when he left Alphaville nearly 17 years ago.

Actually, none of the cartoons really look like any of them, really...... but my guess is its Ricky..... why? not sure......

When I got the FY2001, I thought right away that it's (from the left) Marian, Bernd and Frank. Why?

Well, for the first;
The blackhaired is obviously Marian, the brownhaired is Bernd (Ricky's hair had a darker shade of brown), and the blonde is Frank (Ricky never had blonde hair, and Bernd's hair was never THAT blonde, so it's Frank).

second; If there are three, it must obviously be the bandmembers, because there used to be three of them, and who nutty would picture some non-band member on an albumcover?

...and third; To the argument; "Frank or Ricky". Think rationally; first, if the fact that Frank doesn't belong to the band anymore would be a reason to say it's not him, then there would be even a smaller reason for it to be Ricky, because he wasn't either a member in the band anymore when this album was released, and, thinking that it was Frank, not Ricky who partook in the writing of FY, wouldn't it be logical to assume that it's him?

It must be Marian, Bernd & Frank.
Echolette has left AV, and Forever Young was made by... that's right GOLD/LLOYD/MERTENS.
It can't be Echolette in this case.
Maybe if it was the same picture on the DWM (Van Dyk Remix) cover.

Yeah maybe, but we still need to get "the word" from the masters themselves before we all can be absolutely sure!
