This song is probably the best example Iīve ever heard of a cover version being FAR better than the original. Marian Goldīs version has much more emotion and feeling to the song, while Murray Head sounds like something the cat dragged in...

I have heard other coverversions of "Say it ain't so, joe" aswell. I have one on tape, that is really good. But i dont know the name of the band.

I like it very much. But Marian's version is definitely MUCH BETTER than the one by Murray Head.

I don't think that Marian intended to do a better version - he once said that it was more to do it his way and to put his effort into it to pay tribute to Murrey's version........ however...... hand's down, Marian does this song much better!!!
