I have seen Alphaville live once...and that was the most fantastic moment in my life. My god,there was people everywere, and I feeled crushed down,but whatever...=)
Marian really live for the music,you can see that when he´s on stage. The songs are always really good, and the lights are amaizing. The people who have not seen AV live, really have to do it some day. If not, you will really miss something.
I saw them in the end of may this year, when the played on Brännbollsyran in Umeå...
Everyone was screaming and jumping, and afterwards I could hardly walk straight...=)

That night was so great!! I was to on Brännbollsyran in Ume. It was my first openair-concert with AV. Hopeful not the last. :)) A great moment in my life. You can read a report from this happening under "events" at NEW HORIZONS homepage.

In a month im gonna see my 3rd live show.

Lets call it : HEAVENLY EXPERIENCE !!! [beer]
It has been nearly 4 years since my first concert...I remember people asking me after the concert, so was it good? I couldn't describe it as being good, or great, or awesome...it was nothing I could come close to describing, just a surreal sensation of being lifted up above reality as I had formerly known it and dancing in the clouds, and for a few short hours being a part of a different, perfect world...I was never the same again [laugh][wink]. It's a dream...but it's more than a dream.
Less than four weeks until Chemnitz...[smile2]

Another great concert, my 7th so far, and Marian was on top form!
Will write more details later. (Kaz is here and it will surprise those of you who know us, that we are drinking beer! (we are!) Just sitting here, watching the DVD, reminiscing and acting like a pair of teenagers.
Thanks to those who we met in Berlin and Chemnitz, Mags (and her guardian angel!) Adi (she drinks beer!), Willy, (Kaz has another name for him lol), Justus (ditto), Leif and Alex, Kerstin, and above all, Marian Gold!!! He's a star. He is!!! Aren't Utopians brill??? We met too many lovely people. Kaz has her own list.
Want to go back to Berlin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello everybody!
A fantastic weekend went by: I met some people for the first time I had imagined to be different
before. Special greetings to Clare + Kaz (calmed that you didnīt lose your way in Leipzig), Mags,
Alpha-X, Kerstin and Willy (Do you remember us? Do you remember your real name?).
Also greetings to the many other AV-freaks I met in C, especially a very quiet girl from Potsdam;
I canīt wait to have some beers with you again at a concert (yes, Clare - Alpha-X isnīt that abstinent as she always pretends...)
- Weīll never stop living this way ! -
Kaz and I were sitting outside the Etap in Chemnitz muttering, ("Oh smeg!" [banghead]) when a guy came up and asked if we were part of the AV community. (We had our AV t-shirts on) and so we met Justus (Willy isn't the only one to have another name, he isn't!). Justus was kind enough to give us a lift back to Leipzig and point out where I could get a prawn sandwich in the station, for which I will be eternally grateful![laugh].
Justus, thanks for the lift and the company.

Why is it that memories, as wonderful as they are, fade after time? Is it because we desire more and more? human greed? or just the superb company of other like-minded friends?
I desperately need to be in the company of Utopians again and to have more live Alphaville. It's a bit like an old favourite book, these memories...it becomes tired and dog-eared and yellowed with time and needs to be replaced and refreshed. Only hope it can be one day very soon...

Memories fade away because we are all human beings and it is one of our main characters, that sooner or later we forget about things... You can't really do anything against it... Just look at the photos you took, read again and again the notes or reports you made after the gigs... and never give up hope! [smile]

Yeah. Memories fade away. But, as Agnes said, there are always things that bring them back.

Thats true.
You take a look at a photo of you at some place and you remember exactly what you felt when the pic was taken... or you take a look at a photo of you and a utopian and you remember things that he/she told you when you were together......
I love looking at my AV album. I always wonder when i will put inside new pics and what will they contain.....
Yes it's true, but after time it's not as clear, esp. feelings, which you can never really relive, but can have a fond memory of.
Having said that, last night I listened to Inside Out and it all came back...
