My first Alphaville concert was back in may 1996, should have been in april, but that concert was cancelled. This first time was actually the spark we needed that got us going to starting a fanclub. I still think back to this concert because it was such a great experience to finally see Alphaville live after all these years, the show was amazing and the crowd went absolutely nuts, much more than I have experienced in Germany (specially) where most people seem very passive at concerts, in Sweden it was a huge party all the time, even before that show the DJ played some fantastic synth music from the 80s, specially "Photographic" with Depeche Mode, sounded fantastic on those huge speakers. Well, back to Alphaville, after the show we tried to meet the band, but it was impossible, but soon after (in december 1996) we met everybody in Berlin, including Ricky Echolette, and that was probably the best time I´ve ever had with Alphaville...more about in a later post (I´m going to bed now).
