But I think that Savage Garden is one of the best bands ever. Theyīre not synth all over,but they make so good music.
I just love all their songs.
Great! Their affirmation reminds me of Marians fore the sake of love.

Savage Garden is very a "poppy" teenage girl band. But I must admit, that I do enjoy listening to them. I bought "Affirmation" for my girlfriend a while back. (So I had an excuse to listen to it).
Its good popmusic. Nothing more, nothing less.
I donīt think they are really like this other bands, not too commercial!

I had heard that originally they released their first album without a label and it was still huge success!!!
Don't know if that is true, but I do like them and was wondering if they were working on anything new? Anyone know?

...and one little intersting fact about them is that they took their name from Anne Riceīs book, "Interview With a Vampire"...one of my fave books!! =)

Well, Daniel (not the singer) didnīt like to be famous (too late now maybe), so they decided that this was the best.
Darren the singer is releasing a soloalbum soon, and Daniel have produced four of the songs from that one. He is also writing songs for some new band on his label.

I recently heard Darren Hayesī new album, and I donīt really know what to say.
Of course I love it, I love his voice, but the music. Hm, itīs a bit RnB-influenced, what do you say about that?!

YES!! But he did that when he was still part of Savage Garden..... it was recorded live and I think sounds better than George Michael's version!

I donīt think that Darrenīs version of last christmas is better than the original one. I love that version of course, but it doesnīt touch me as much as wham did.
Iīve been listening to Affirmation a lot today - great album. One of my favorites is "I donīt know you anymore".
I love "Crash and Burn" from Affirmation.
Affirmation is a great album, but not better than their first one.
I knew I loved u was played every second on the radio when it came out, but I love it anyway, so itīs my favourite from that album.
The title song affirmation isnīt too bad either.
yeah. I lone "I knew I loved you" video though it was often on tv then.

watching the news on TV I've found out that Darren was in Russia today and was going to perform on MTV-Russia awards ceremony. So I switched there to wait for him and see. I have also agreed with most of what that song says [smile]
Has to be my fave song of theirs.
It's very true. I agree with almost everything in that song, except the part about economy and the part about beauty magazines.
