Hello everybody!
This is my BIG THANK YOU to all those who contributed and have been
involved, to all those who sang and designed, to all those who organized and
played, to all those who made an incredible and amazing project happen.
This is my BIG THANK YOU for"WE HEARD THE CALL".
I´m living with my copy No.236 for more than a month now, and I realize more
and more, how much energy and effort, how much enthusiasm and believe and
how much love is captured within this small plastic box with those two
silver discs inside.
Although I feel honoured like I never felt before, I have to say that this
is much more for me, than a tribute album for alphaville:
It´s a great compilation by great artists.
Like Marian said before: a dream became true.
What more can I say......it´s overwhelming.
Everybody is an artist, as long as he or she dares to do it.
If anybody wants to share my impressions about
"WE HEARD THE CALL" or certain songs from it....
...please contact me.

are you kidding? I think it's more a miracle that Bernie has joined us here. To me, Bernhard has been the mysterious, silent member of AV. It's amazing to hear from you, Mr. Lloyd!

For Alphaville "We heard the call" is the best thing that could happen! A band were most people in the world think that they finished years ago, is living in the hearts of all the true fans - and perhaps the fans are reactivating a lot in bernd and marian...?

yeah, it seems as if Bernhard spends most of his time here - posting as himself and Marian posts to the AV mailing list through Claudia..... so I don't think Marian is as excited or willing to spend as much time as Bernhard does chatting and exchanging text with us!!
But I bet Marian comes here as a guest and pokes around..... what do you think?

youre right about that Bernhard seems more interested in knowing what fans feel about things,how theyre doing and just hanging around than Marian.
but we should also understand that Marian has been and is the most popular bandmember,and he has been that for a several years..so he could be quite tired of all fans asking stuff all the time..just imagine how many times the band members have heard and aswered the same old questions..do you have girlfriends,whats the plans for future,blablabla..
i can imagine that it must be quite hard to be famous..you dont have a private life and maybe thats why Marian isnt around so much..he wants to live more private now,when he's less popular among the world artists than b4.
and as ive said b4,they are humen too,and therefore free to make their own choices what they wanna do,when and where.

defender! I was NOT talking about Marian negatively... just trying to explain the difference between the two... you are right, Marian is the most visable of the two - but despite his reasons, you can't deny the fact that Bernhard is the most accessible of the two!

i know you werent negative against Marian,but there are surely some members who could be.
i felt a little bit disappointed when i found out that Marian posted to the mailinglist through claudia..why cant he bee himself just like Bernhard??
maybe he wants to hide away from reality and truth..that he is very loved by others who hardly really knows him...im sure he'd like to be impopular if he could..but because of that he loves making music,hes still hanging on...and therefore also in one or another way caring about us too,even if he isnt around so much as we would wish to.
ive discovered that you loose a important part of yourself when you dont have much for a privatelife..a very important thing:the feeling that you can be you and live your life like you want to..
ive felt so wonderful,found a new side of me after being without a private life in a week..i feel like a new person,full of ideas,feelings and new impressions that i didnt have b4.

But even though Marian doesn´t take as much time as Bernd does, they both TAKE TIME for us, more or less, and that is not something that every band do.
