Vote on your favorite songs for the fanlist (multiple choice)

We now have 2 polls running with some of the most favorite Alphaville songs. The idea is to make a fans top 20 fanlist which will be placed at the portal. Each month we will pick 10 new songs for the runners up chart. From this chart the 3 songs with most votes will enter the top 20 replacing the 3 songs with the lowest number of votes. We hope that you will "support" this project by voting in every fanlistpoll so the Alphaville fan fanlist can be as accurate as possible.

Really difficult to choose but I did and if I would rank them as well it would be in the following order...

Their old hits will always win these polls, the new songs are nice, and the new album will be great, but it will never as the good old hits from 1984 [wink]

I agree. Maybe there could be a separate poll for newer songs so that the fans have a chance to let the band know which songs they like best, showing which musical direction they prefer.

Btw: Where do you draw the line between the old and the new songs?
If the old ones were only from 1984 I voted for only 2 old ones (FY and AVOL).
They weren't all in this poll, but I could also have chosen my 10 favourite songs from CS. You see, I'm a real fan of the new stuff. (Although I admit that I prefer the sound of Marian's younger voice ... getting old is a hard thing [wink])

That's a very good point, Ana. The "classic" stuff is great, no question, but the recent CS songs are excellent in their own right.

We are working on a way to put the fanhitlist for February/March on the portal page. Hopefully it will be online soon. Until then....keep voting people!! Right now it seems like there will be a lot of changes from the last hitlist.....Jet Set look certain to stay in the chart and right now SLAM has taken a clear lead!

Well, most of you say that oldest hits are forever, but I do say that voting for 1984's hits is just too much banal. It's like, you know, voting for Australopithecus whilst having actual Homo Sapiens. [laugh]
