You said something about a Feels like Heaven cover, is there are way to hear it now, or will there be in the future?? I love that song, brings back such happy memories! I am dying to hear the Pope's cover of it!!!

Yeah, good idea - I would love to hear that version. Joachim had it with him at our latest meeting, but for several reasons we did not hear it.

hmmmmm...... help me out here - who sings this song Feels Like Heaven? The only one I know was done by the Urban Cookie Collective in the mid 90's...... I could definately see the popes covering that one - is this the same song?

@ Russ: I dont know which song is meant, but a song that I was thinking of was the one of the same title by Fiction Factory. Very 80s, released in the UK in 1984.

to clear things up: i produced a coverversion of the fiction factory - song "feels like heaven" ( exactly with the lyrics posted by lassie)
with a german duo from leipzig (so it has nothing to do with AP actually).....very nice guys...a singer with a really high voice ...iīm going producing stuff with them...they are good songwriters as well...i will see what i can do to put it online...if you are really interested?

...oh..i forgot to say something: the reason why it wasnīt released yet is that we were simply to late with this coverversion....there have been several coverversions of it around...poul e. already mentioned the one by dario g.
...never mind...weīll go on...and itīs anyway better to become successful with xour own songs

I guess the XXXX mp3 also is made by Vanity Affair? Just when it started it sounded like a new Atlantic Popes song to me. In my opinion the music to that song sounds to me like it could have been done only by you Bernhard....

What's the relationship between both versions? Is it like a cross-over between AV and AP?

ok...while iīm here... i should answer some of your questions:
the bad news: there wonīt be a VANITY AFFAIR
album!
in the middle of the production the singer decided, to leave the project and to try something on his own with another producer and a different style...wasnīt that funny...anyway...whatever...singerīs tend to be crazy...but i knew that before [bigmouth][bunny][censored][clown][crazy][crazy][crazy]
which leads me to the other singer...max is really better now and has seriously started with working on new AP-material...sounds very promising...although i wonīt NO promise about a release date or something...at the moment i donīt care anyway...because from saturday i will be off for a two weeks vacation

after that i hope my [apple]is back from service, so that i can go on working...

the song was originally meant as a song for AV...but didnīt make it on any album...i did the demo that you know from DS in 1995 in france

I seriously doubt that Vanity Affair is involved.

Atlantic Popes is great!
Where are they? Was "Ice" a single? No doubt that that's the one of the greatest tunes ever made.
I've been listening Atlantic Popes this week, I'd say my top 3 is :
1) World / World remixes
2) Love (F)
3) Living
Thanks for choosing short titles so they -mostly- fit my 8 characters CD-Text display :)
Good point for the french pronounciation, although I'd change some lyrics into correct "french sounding"...

I love the Atlantic Popes album and have been looking out to see if there has been a follow up for the last few years. I'm guessing not due to no updates on the official site (although it's still active, so that's a good-ish sign...).

[smile]Bernhard lloyd is the member of the band with more talent using the sintetizers in my opinion. When he loosed the band, alphaville isnīt the same. He have one special touch for create sounds very deep and wonderfull.

That's true, because as Marian has said in some interview, their musical taste is different, so Bernhard took lot whithin when he left. Anyway I think that I don't necessarily need Bernhard in Alphaville, since newer style of AV seems to be very good. Also there is no point in making same album twice, so now that there is no bernhard there is also no risk in making some old album again.
