I have a couple of De/Vision maxis and some songs in compilations, but I don´t think they are very original, they sound a little too much like Depeche Mode (which I love), but they should try to go more unique sound, in my opinion.

I don´t think that De/Vision sound a bit like DM.They have their own style, and D/V have their. And they are great. Willy, you should hear some original songs...

Well, first of all...i don´t think that it has to be bad, to sound like another band...lot of people try to be like me (little joke)...avil, i think on "monosex" also we fly, deliver me and the last four songs are ok, but perhaps you better buy the album "zehn" it is a "best of" including remixes.
"Void" is also very nice, harder than the rest. I was at the promo-concert in hamburg last year...great show!

I love Freedom the Oomph mix, althogh it stole the bass line from Depeche Mode's Useless lol.. But I do love the lyrics to Freedom. Yes, Willy, you can definately hear the DM influence!!

I quite like them though, but I feel mesh is better, has more of their own defined sound and the lyrics as a whole are far better.

I have to pick up more of DeVisions albums though. But DM comes first!!

I like Monosex a lot... I think it's an album that grows the more you listen to it. I really like the backup vocals and the sugesstive beats on a few of the songs. It's one of the best albums in my CD collection.

I have a few other D/V albums, but none of them is as good as Monosex in my opinion, albumwise. In comparison, I believe that Prostitute is the best AV album.

I´ve heard the new songs, and I´m very excited about this new album, it seems somehow much better than their previous one, Two.
I´m very positive to the song Digital Dreams. Me like that song a lot!

I didn't like two all that much either - it was a let down for me too. I like Void even though apparently that is the album a lot of ppl didn't like. I liked it cause it has what a lot of other De/Vision albums don't have - kick! I just ordered the new album though, the one with the 2nd disc. I did that cause Mesh remixed one of the songs!

The T.O.Y. mix of Drifting Sideways is very danceable.....I don't have the 2nd disc but I got the mix on a cd from a German magazine.

Just got Devolution and I don't really know what to think of it yet. Time will tell.

Better than Two, but doesn't quite reach up to Monosex. Too happy. =)

I agree with you Staffan. There are some great songs like "Drifting Sideways" and "You say..." but it's a bit too light to be a De/Vision album. I think that Marcus Ganßert (former member) is the big difference between Devolution and Monosex. He wrote many of the darker songs and hits like "We fly...tonight". I am very much looking forward to his solo works!

I had one of the best times at a concert that I have ever had last night at De/Vision [smile]. Great music, great powerful synths that make your nerves tingle, I was dancing for the whole time. These guys are awesome...I need to get some of their music now. Anyone who has opportunity, definitely go see them live!

We have a little surprise for you to survive the summer... "Unplugged And The Motion Pictures..." is the first authorised DVD by DE/VISION, in stores on August 30th with a bonus-CD. The DVD contains among other things the complete unplugged-session from the Komed-Saal in 2001, all videoclips, a special interview recorded for this DVD, and much more! The CD contains next to the mentioned unplugged-concert 3 remixes (e.g. by Gigi D'Agostino)! Further detail will follow during the next days...

I am quite surprised to see that no one has written anything about the new album "Subkutan". So I will be the first then...

To start with it´s a good album and it reminds me quite much of their latest before this one, "6 feet under ground". The far best song on the CD is called "No tomorrow" and sounds as it could have been picked from their absolutely best album "Two". The second best song is called "Addict". On the previous album there are two songs which are much better than the rest - the two first tracks on the CD, "I´m not enough" and "I´m not dreaming of you". On both the albums there are about three less good songs (On "Subkutan" track 1, 3 and 9) and the sound is almost the same.

As I wrote here above, I like the album "Two" the most. It´s a very mature album with wonderful melodies, beautiful arrangements and greatly sung. Quite different to the album before that, "Void", which is the De/Vision album I like the least (except the last song "Remember" which is very beautiful - in both the versions), and the album after that, "Devolution", which is their second least good album. My four favourite D/V songs are (in order): Lonely day, Heart-shaped tumor, Drowning souls, Escape the world.

So, if you don´t have the new album - buy it! And if you don´t have the album "Two" - definitly buy it!
