View Full Version : Erasure/Andy Bell
Another band I really liked back in the 80´s were Erasure. I´m not so fund of the music they make now though.
But songs like these are great:
Oh L´Amour
Sometimes
Hideaway
Who needs love like that
March on down the line
Knockin on your door
etc.
I don't know why people like'm so much,
they are not that good, their synth is
to ... joyful and soft ... for me.
I'm happy that Vince Clarke left DM,
It pushed them toward the right way and
made what they are, without his musical
influence and with new lyrics by M.Gore .
*** Don't get me wrong, Erasure have great songs ( Yazoo also ) .
Our opinion is directly the opposite here. I liked DM best when Vince Clarke was a member. The best DM song is in my opinion "Just can´t get enough". From then on they have just gotten worse. But that´s just my opinion. I know a lot of you don´t agree with me and that´s just the way it should be. It would be so boring if we all agreed on everything.
And to me Andy Bell is a much better singer than Dave Gahan but then again it´s just me.

I used to love Erasure in the 80s, but I grew tired of them, and from what I´ve heard in the 90s, I´m not impressed.

I like Erausre, but unlike AV who have changed over the years, and experienced with different music genres, Erasure seems to have been stuck in the same popgenre since day one.

David - I agree 100% with that statement - the haven´t evolved at all, but I still think they were better when they started than now !

I agree with you David and Willy. Erasure are not nearly as good as they were in the 80´s. They have tried to evolve but it hasn´t worked. The songs they make now are no "Oh L´Amour" or "Sometimes". They just lack something.
I have all Erasure records from the 80´s and the beginning of the 90´s but I have stopped buying them as it´s a waste of money.
Have any of you heard the new album ? I´ve just seen it, but haven´t heard anything from it.

Erasure have been one of my favourite groups since I heard Oh L´amour.
But I don´t agree with Poul Erik: The worst album they have done (before Loveboat (which is their worst)) is in my opinion Wonderland, The circus and Wild, where I think the songs mostly are too easy. Andy Bell also has improved his singing a lot since those days. Their best albums are in my opinion Erasure (the very long album from 1995) and I say, I say, I say (from 1993, where all the songs are very even and very good).
Here are some favourites:
Ship of fools
Fingers and thumbs
Oh L´amour
Home
Siren song
Rescue me
And here are some songs that I really don´t like:
Pistol
Sexuality
La Gloria

Well guys,as i can see there's a lot of dispatched thoughts around here...
hmmm, well i love Erasure since the early days, and well some of their stuff is not that exciting, but it was still electronic, and as a synthpop fan,i have a great respect for Vince Clarke.
I think the best Erasure albums are "The Innocents" and "Chorus"...but Loveboat is quite strange, because it's a mix of all the things they done over the last few years.
There's a lot of combination available in this album, and it needs to be listened a few times before giving a real judgement.
I quite like it today, but well the 80's were the best era...
One of my friend have a band called Daily Planet. They released an album some time ago, an people say that they reminds of Erasure.
If this is true, then Erasure is a great band.
Acctually...I have never heard Erasure...

I have a song from Daily Planet, that I think is great !

Daily Planet is really good.
And I like that one of the members is a friend of mine...:)
Which song did you hear? I guess on Milky Way.

I have it on CD at home - I will check the name of the song. It´s actually one of the best songs on that album, which also includes Astral Body.

I quite love Erasure, but the bass on their new album Loveboat is criminal.. It makes everything distorted. However, there are some great songs on the new album. If you have the capability of tunring the bass low on your stereo everything works out.
Actually, I find Carry Your Flag heavily Erasuresque. It's got lots of Vince Clarke synth sounds from the I Say I Say I Say era.
That's the first thing that caught my attention. But I love that etheral sound.
Vince and Andy are really great people though, and very down to earth. I've had the pleasure of hanging out with them a few times. They're incredibly nice! I don't think it's fair though to say that Erasure have not evolved, because they really really have. You can't listen to Wonderland, Wild, I Say I Say I Say, Erasure, and Loveboat and say that there has been no progression. Although I agree that the erasure "sound" has pretty much always been there. So I can understand how people find a consistent link between the albums, thereby concluding that there hasn't been much progression.
Tara : )
Today I heard Erasure for the very first time...And I started to laugh.I heard this
You surround me, and my god, this singers voice...Veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery dark...
But veeery good indeed.
*I´m your best friend-the dream*
Andy Bell sounded dark ?? my God, you must have played a 12" at 33rpm...!

Andy can be dark : ) Just listen to Crown of Thorns from the Wild! album. I really like that song.
The reason I got into Erasure was because of Star. And well, I saw their concert that year (1989) and I thought that they were absolutely CRAZY and hilarious. Andy and his pet snail Brian..hehe..
Andy and Vince have a really good sense of humour. That's what I like about them.
Tara : )
So...the singers nameīs Andy...
*I´m your best friend-the dream*
Andy Bell has a great voice! He can sing very deep/dark as in fx. "You surround me" and "Crown of thorns" and very high/light as in "God rest ye merry gentlemen". Incredible!!
He has a very sexy voice...*hehe*

as far as i'm concerned, my fave Erasure albums are : The Innocents and Chorus...
And yes They have evolved indeed, the sound is less "childish" than the first songs (cf wonderland),i always loved Erasure, and i'll always do.It's not a question of being a blind fan or whatever, but in my opinion Vince Clarke is an electro genius, the boffin behind his modular keyboards.
Ps: yes i also find that the bass in Loveboat quite "strange"...i prefer the pure elctronic stuff, but hey that's another question.
well i go back to the new Spock album!!!!

"...you can halt your car for an afternoon in utopia..."
I've always liked Erasure, one of my favesongs is "Ship of Fools"...
It's true that Erasure hasn't changed a lot after the 80's...I remember when I once listened to their cd "Pop - the first 20 hits" and I couldn't believe that most of the songs on it were from the late 80's or the early 90's! They sounded so "-84" somehow...
as a "Vince Clarke"-fan I also like "Yazoo" very much... Alison Moyet's voice is very powerful and good...

I guess i should own up to being an Erasure fan too.The first album i got was Wonderland,i was duty bound to buy it for 2 reasons, firstly it was on Mute records and if something came out on Mute in the 80s you could almost guarantee great electronic music, and secondly Vince Clarke, need i say more.
My top ten Erasure tracks must be:-
Ship Of Fools
I Love You
Crown Of Thorns
Leave Me To Bleed
Brother and Sister
Cry So Easy
My Heart So Blue
Breath Of Life
Witch In The Ditch
The Circus
...but not necessarily in that order. In fact when i think about it Erasure have done so many fantastic songs, they're such a great live band as well, the Innocents tour was superb.
Choosing a best album is very difficult,i love them all except the last 2,which i still think are good but a bit below par.
I remember a friend of mine who likes Erasure didnt like the 1995 album saying the songs were too long so i fed the whole thing in to my pc and through my sequencer and edited down every track,he absolutely loved it then,i think i done a pretty good job of it too if i say so myself.
Regaurding the point about them elvoving,i think they certainly have, although possibly in the wrong direction.
I have one song with Erasure I like very much...and that is You surround me!
GREAT SONG! One of the best ever!

Franzy - Agreed - one HUNDRED percent. David's singing is far superior now, noone can argue that. Perhaps Poul e prefers the less melodic, less range diverse David - I dunno!
Erasure by the way are almost finished their covers album so that should be out soon. Though I wish they would do their own stuff... And touring? I wish... Well, you never know. I do miss seeing Erasure live. Phantasmagorical was amaaing.
Tara :)
@Frenzy: First of all - Welcome to the forum. And then Iīm sorry if I hurt you, but I always say my opinion even if it might be tough on some big DM fans like you and Dingerz.
@Dingerz: Less range??? Andy Bell?? Try to listen to "You surround me" and then "God rest ye merry gentlemen" afterwards. If you still think Andy Bell doesnīt have HUGE range...then itīs ok. Which 2 DM songs should I listen to that shows more range than those 2 from Erasure?
For me Dave Gahan "talks" thru a lot of their newest songs, and if he has improved his singing so much he doesnīt show it. Maybe the reason I think like that is that I never went to see DM live - I donīt know. Iīm sorry, but I really think that DM gets more and more boring for every album.
But this is the Erasure topic so.....
I donīt listen much to Erasure anymore. I donīt like the songs they make now. I have no intention of buying their upcoming album....but then again...I might be positively surprised, but I seriously donīt think so...

I never said Andy Bell has no range!! The guy has range like few others!
I said David Gahan in the early 80's had no range. (or very little) Now he has much better range. David's range and his ability to carry notes has increased immensly since the last album. He can also sing much softer now, knowing he can carry the softer tones. This before was something only Martin really did - but not so any more. (check out his backing vocals for Waiting for The Night on the DVD!! The high pitch singing is not the backing singers as one would think - it is David!!)
If you listen to Speak and Spell and now Exciter you would definately see how much better David can handle singing. He is much superior now and I cannot WAIT for his solo album since it will most liklely display his singing skills.
David's voice in the early 80's was more deadpan where now it is expressive, emotional, and with wider range. That was all I was saying. I am fine with you not liking newer DM - hell I don't care for new A-ha (yawn) We all have different tastes. But you cannot argue that david's voice is not better now then it was in the 80's - you absolutely can't on technique at least.

I can, Dave seems now to be trying too hard to give his voice range,he tends to shout a lot more live now rather than sing which begs the question ''how much goes on in the studio?'' whereas say, Black Celebration era, he allowed his voice to meld with the music and let the 2 become 1 thus creating an incredible overall dynamic sound, the worst thing Dave has done is have singing lessons, before that time he was himself, everything he put in to those songs was himself because he knew no other way, now the parts where he injects emotion is very by numbers, and will he ever improvise again? I'd love to know. How many shows on the last tour did he say the same wooh's and yeah's in exactly the same places, and lets not forget the ever annoying ''hes got the moves'' during ''When The Body Yawns, sorry I mean Speaks''. Andy Bell has always been an infinitely superior vocalist, and is consistently refreshing on stage which is not a biased opinion as DM are my second fave band of all time and Ive stood by them since New Life was released and Erasure barely sit inside my top ten. DM work best as a unit, when you have the band together performing nothing else comes close (except for maybe New Order who are stunning live but general recordings wise I still rate Mode higher as the sheer volume of imagination has seldom, if ever, been matched). And whats the deal with whoever it was saying ''Speak & Spell'' sounds naive???? Erm hello, have you heard the competiton from that time? Mode were already experimenting on their first album, for example notice the complete absence of cymbals which were replaced by a variety of more electronic sounds, sit that next Spandau Ballet's ''Journey's To Glory'' or Duran Duran's eponymously titled first album and see where the real imagination and experimentation lies, the only obsticle they had in front of them was the equipment available which they more than overcome, dont forget that Mute records was barely 2 years old at this point and no-one other than Mode had had a hit to generate funding for the label which could then be poured back into the studios. Anyway, I'd best step down from my soap box now and as this is meant to be an Erasure thread does anyone at all like ''Loveboat''? (I don't).

I've been a fan of Erasure since the late 80s..."Loveboat", their most recent album, is WAY underrated ! "Where In The World" and "Catch 22" are two of my all-time favorite Erasure songs. Also, a lot of their b-sides are worth checking. "La La La" (on the "Love To Hate You" single is my favorite Erasure song EVER. A bit darker than most of the stuff they've been releasing over the years but SOOOOOO good !
Alphaville, Erasure, OMD and A-ha are my all-time favorite electro-pop bands :)
Saw Erasure for the time ever last night - it was great ! Andi Bell is probably the most feminine man Iīve ever seen, and he doesnīt care [laugh] - he sings very well live, and we got all the hits from the 80s.
About ten years ago, the video where they drive motorbikes in the forest was on music tv about 3 times a day.(Was it "lay all your love on me"???) Anyway, it makes me feel[sleep] I had to watch/listen to it too many times.

Their new album "Nightbird" is their best since 1995 and really worth buying!
Five of the tracks are really nice (#2, #10, #8, #4 and #1) and the rest are just nice.
I agree - finally they made a great album !!!! but the 80s songs are still the best.
Oh well, I still live in the past.
Nightbird is a really excellent album - I have been listening to it nonstop since I received it in the post. Andy and Vince are in true form and this album is a lot more like the older albums - it reminds me of ISayx3 and a bit of Chorus, Wild and The Innocents. When I first listened to it, I thought the same thing as Willy...good album but I still like 80s Erasure better. I tried to analyze why, and I'm not really sure....I don't know if it is truly that the music WAS better back then, or just that somehow music that came out back then when I was still so young had a certain magic because of the time of my life. I don't know, but anyway I would highly recommend this album to any Erasure or synth-fans. The more you listen, the more you will like it. My faves off the album are Here I Go Impossible Again, Don't Say you Love Me, .....Still Falling out of Love and Sweet Surrender. Way to go Andy and Vince! [smile2]
I'm going to Erasure in Berlin in a couple weeks, can't wait! [bouncy]
The Erasure concert in Berlin was really really great! Andy's voice is still unbelievable and the costumes and the set were beautiful. I thought it was a much better concert than the last tour I saw in Vegas, so much energy. The setlist was excellent, they played all their greatest hits. They only played a few songs from the new album but what they did play was superb, especially All This Time Still Falling Out of Love.
What was really sad about it was that I could barely see - I had not been to this venue before and I didn't make it early enough to get a space in the front half of the room or on the balcony. It was a different venue than I was expecting, I thought it was the same smaller one where I saw Alphaville, De/Vision and New Model Army. It was the larger hall next door, though. I felt like I was watching the concert from the next room over and seeing things through a small doorway ..... Andy was so small I could barely see him, between the two big pillars that were blocking my view. [sad][sad][sad]. I wanted to cry......but oh well. Hopefully there will be another time.
I attended the 2 shows in Copenhagen, and I agree with Mags that it was really really great ! Andy Bell was excellent and I could see him clearly from where I stood both times. Lots of 80s hits, Erasure knows what the people want, and thatīs what we got !!!! [wink]
I went to Edinburgh and saw the concert there on February 28! What a show. This show was also one of the 19 shows they made live CDs too so I can listen to the concert whenever I like :-)))

This years show was really good. I liked it a ton. I hope there isn't a long gap before they tour again. I've attached the pic of Andy and I that I had taken after the concert in Orlando.

If you ever want to meet Erasure just hang around after the show and wait for them to come out. They're usually great with their fans and will take the time to sign autographs, take pics and chat. Just wait for the next time they come around! Andy is also releasing his solo album soon and apparently he is going on tour for that. (apparently there is a UK date already?)
Tara :)
Thanks for the information, Tara. Next time I will have to insist to Danny that we must wait! [laugh]

Andy's solo album "Electric Blue" is about to be released. You can listen to samples at http://www.sanctuaryrecords.co.uk/andybell/ .
It's pretty good dance music. Reminds me a bit of 70s disco as well.
And please note that Claudia Brücken (y'know, the droolable singer of Propaganda) joined
him on several songs + it's so fine that the quasi-Iron Maiden-own-record company Sanctuary is so successful these days...[smile2]
I bought Erasure Pop! "The First 20 Hits." I recognized 9 or 10 of the songs. Nice to listen to. I like "Who Needs Love Like That" best !!
I will see them again live for the 4th time 28th of September here in Copenhagen.

I like a lot of their older stuff better than the newer stuff although the new song that they released on Elektrisch Volume 1 : Here I go Impossible Again is absolutely fantastic!
So Andy has a solo album coming? Interesting....... may have to check that out.
Erasure knows what people want at the concerts, so they always mainly play their old stuff which is great !! Everyone singing.....

I could just kick myself though as I found out too late that they did an acoustic unplugged concert just down the road in Nashville not too long ago....... If I would have known... I would have gone.

ok, so when I was hanging out with Tara Salt in Toronto last weekend I got an education on Erasure and I have to take back what I said earlier on this thread. The newer stuff is amazing and rock solid. Nightbird just blew me away. I also really like Andy's solo album and the song Crazy really gets you on your feet. There are at least 12 songs off the last four albums that I really really really liked. I guess a few years ago I sort of stopped listening and now I am not sure why I did that!
Wow!!! Back from my Scotland trip were I caught Erasure both in Glasgow and Edinburgh! I hate to say it on this forum but these concerts beat most Alphaville concerts I've been to (not counting the Tipi concert in 2004). What a performance! Andy was in a very happy mood and did two fantastic performances. As for Vince, well he hid mostly behind a computer but I think I saw him smile once [smile2]

Erasure concerts in Copenhagen are always sold out in a few hours.
Just found out that OneTwo will be the warm-up band for Erasure on their European tour.....I should have looked more into this long before!! It would have been cool to watch both Erasure and another favourite of mine Paul Humphreys (OMD) at the same venue!!

Yes, they were actually quite good. Apart from their new material as Onetwo, they did play Propaganda's Duel on both concerts I attended in Scotland and on the Edinburgh concert they made a fantastic version of OMD's Messages [smile]

I just have to say that Nightbird (2005) is a great album. So is the latest, Light At The End Of The World (2007), not a single bad track.
Erasure didn't became really good until in the 90s with hits such as Blue Savannah, Love To Hate You, the ABBA-remakes and Always.
My favourite is definately Breathe from 2005. Super song.
Really ?
I still like the stuff from the 80s the best and as I recall from the last concert I was at Erasure knows this, and plays lots of songs from the 80s, they havenīt developed much, but I must admit that I havenīt heard the new album yet.
..I havenīt heard the new album yet.
You should listen to it before the concerts. They have been playing at least seven songs from the latest album during the recent live shows and the show gets much better if you know these songs. They are great BTW [smile]
Ok, I may be a little slow, but is it true that these guys are warming up for Erasure ? http://www.theremusic.com - the lead singer from OMD ??? OMG !
Ok, I may be a little slow, but is it true that these guys are warming up for Erasure ? http://www.theremusic.com - the lead singer from OMD ??? OMG !
Yes Willy....I wrote about it on page 12 of this topic. It's Claudia Brücken from Propaganda and Paul Humphreys from OMD (don't know if he's the leadsinger though....I think Andy MacCluskey would be dissapointed [wink])
I don't think OneTwo's songs are particularly good though, but they might play an old OMD and/or Propaganda song. I know that they have been playing a cool version of "Electricity" at earlier concerts....
I know that they have been playing a cool version of "Electricity" at earlier concerts....
As I pointed out earlier in this thread they played Messages in Edinburgh where Claudia and Paul both sang the lyrics but no OMD song was played in Glasgow. Apart from that one Claudia is the lead singer in OneTwo. I personally love OneTwo and I do have their singles and album. They started both shows I attended in Scotland with the excellent "The Theory of Everything - Part 2" and ended both shows with Propaganda's "Duel". They also played the Martin Gore penned song Cloud 9 which must please you Willy [smile]
Cool, I will see them this friday and saturday - exciting, Iīll better buy the new Erasure album today though, saw the setlist, lots of oldies, but also some from the new album.
@Babble: Sorry....it ws of course "Messages" they played. Where have you bought the album and the singles? I have only been able to hear clips of their songs on the website....
Could be that I should give the songs a fair chance....after all OMD is my second favourite band and I'm really looking forward to their comeback album! You need to listen to most OMD songs at least 5 times before they crawl under your skin....is it the same with OneTwo?
Sorry we're hijacking the Erasure topic.....but it is related in a way as OneTwo are supporting Erasure [wink]

Well of course songs such as Sometimes and The Circus are brilliant tunes. Actually I can't decide which one is my Erasure favourite, Sometimes or Breathe. But then again I can't decide which one is my a-ha favourite (The Sun Always Shines On T.V. or Summer Moved On?) as well as my Alphaville favourite (Forever Young or Inside Out?).
GREAT show last night - Andy was better than ever, and I canīt talk today since Iīve been screaming my lungs out last night singing Erasure songs.
The warmup band was ok, a little boring, but they did play one OMD song.

I know the feeling [smile2] What did you think of the new songs? Did you have time to listen to them before the shows?
The new songs were ok, but I must admit that I prefer the 80s songs, and so did everyone else (so it seemed), everytime a classic was played people went crazy, singing along and jumping like crazy - it was great ! I was exactly in the middle, 3rd row or so, 10 meters from Andy. I didnīt see Vince smile at all, he was hiding behind his Mac as usual [wink]

Yeah, I agree! Even though I knew the new songs and could sing along to most of them, it's something special when the whole audience know them and even know what movements to make. "Drama" was fantastic with the "Guilty" pointing and "Chorus" with "the fishes in the sea" thing [smile]
Regarding Vince he really did try to hide this time [wink]
Yeah well, Iīm old, I prefer to get further back, so my favorites were Oh L`Amour, Victim of Love and Sometimes. Also A little Respect and Ship of Fools are among my favorites.
Great show, I will see them everytime I get the chance again....
I think I really should see them some time.
The Circus would make my day I guess.
Btw.: Did Andy sing some solo stuff? Would have been suitable when Claudia was around who had joined
him then.
Strange btw. that hardly someone here likes Onetwo.
I love them.
No solo stuff.
Well, OneTwo was a little boring, there were a few songs that was alright, but we were close to the bar, so it wasnīt a problem.

The "Pop! Remixed" EP was finally released today. I'm a bit dissapointed though, don't think it is as splendid remix work as on "Storm Chaser". Really like both remixes of Always though as well as the ones of Victim Of Love, A Little Respect and Ship Of Fools.
Erasure is currently working on a new album!!

This review I did the day I'd got the
promo album 'Tomorrow's World' from
the record label
------------------------------------------------------
Today was the day where I got the change to listen to the new album.
Before this review I've heard the whole album from start to end without any break,
after that sporadic, and then the tracks on random.
Tomorrow's World is an very modern and up-to-date album, but if you ask me I would
like more Vince Clarkes wellknown 'blip-blop' sounds on there . It's one of the latest Younger producertalents
Frankmusic who has Produced the album together with Vince and Andy. Frankmusic has added much
of his own style on this 14th Erasure album. Frankmusic is out with his own debut album also and
a bit different from the E-album.
It looks like and sounds like Erasure & Frankmusic has tried to do this album so it's not only for fans
but also for the younger genrerations. It's a difficult mission, but I think they've done a pretty good
job there. It's for sure an album I'll play many times on my stereo and since I'm a DJ I'm looking
forward to check out all the forthcomming remixes as well .....i love remixes ;o)
I've said it before....I don't know any bad Erasure songs and it's hard to be pessimistic also when
it comes to the music on this new album too .....there are a good flow between the tracks there
is a good mood on there as well. I tell myself several times while listening, that Andy really
enjoys this. There has been used lots of autotune and to me I would rather be without because
Andys voice is so beautifull standing alone.
This album will grow on me without any doubt .... a posetiv thing if you ask me.
I can easily recommend this album, not only to the fans but also to all who like well sounding
and produced popmusic.
I don't give out stars by princip, so check the album out yourself when time comes.
If this release should take the right direction I would say that the next single
should be track 05 'A Whole Lotta Love Run Riot'. It's about 128 bpm and has
a very catchy chorus indeed, and as the DJ I'm there could be made some cool
remixes out of it too. Though it's very 'Frankmusic' sounding filled with autotune
and less Erasure, if you know what I mean , but!....to me it's the best
song on this album.......at this moment
Here under, my top 9 list...for sure it will change now and then
05 A Whole Lotta Love Run Riot (128 bpm)
A very nice and danceable track...it really sounds like Andy is
feeling great on there....actually you don't want this catchy chorus
to stop ever....brilliant!
01 Be With You (132 bpm)
Many Erasure songs does sound like it's one big chorus and so does
this track, nice and fresh.
06 When I Start To (Break It All Down) (82 bpm)
The first single from the album.....a nice pop track with all the high
tones that proves that Andy still 'got it'.
07 I Lose Myself (128 bpm)
Probably the track that contains most the of the wellknow 'Vince Clarke' sound
02 Fill Us With Fire (128 bpm)
A bit special vocal performance and didn't I knew this were Andy singing, I could
be in a little doubt several places in the song....not a bad thing here. It's an very
fresh and uplifting track. The track do grow through several listening times
09 Just When I Thought It Was Ending (116 bpm)
Nice flow in this track and some cool crispy breaks
08 Then I Go Twisting (132 bpm)
To me when it comes to an Erasure song I think it's rare that the verse is more
catchy that the chorus, but on this track I think it is like that, great beat also!
04 You've Got To Save Me Right Now (80 bpm)
This track is a bit different than the others....it's less dance styled and more raw
and rebel mooded, even if the tempo is slow
03 What Will I Say When You're Gone (80 bpm)
A quiet track, but still full of 'action'
....remember, this is heard with my ears....go for it yourself and do feel free to let
me know if your review is totally different, enjoy!!
Anyway, if I should name this album with only one word it would be, FRESH
Gave a listen to a couple of the new ones at yt.
Well, strange, it is so uninspired to me.
You know, I've never been a fan, but Erasure did outstanding songs, not to mention Vince's awesome capabilities in sound and timing. What's left of this potential I'm asking.
Where are the unique melodies and song structures they used to have in the late 80s, early 90s?

Great to see you again, but not enough beer [beer][kiss]
What a great 12" version of Ship of Fools, from back in the 80's when they really knew how to remix [wink]
