The people that are making the Eletrisch have got "green light" from Marian Gold yesterday to have the song "To Germany With Love" that Sebastian R. Komor have remixed on Elektrisch! Vol 2.

Marian think that the "To Germany With Love" got even better than the remix from "Victory Of Love" that are on the Elektrisch! Vol 1.

So let´s see if we get this sampler or the new Alpahaville album first [wink]

the list of songs looks boring to me and the mix of TGWL is not especially good....

But the version you can listen at are the "Promo Edit Version" and not the "Sebastian R. Komor Extended Mix" that are on the cd if i´m understand right....

I like some parts of the song.....

I don´t have the first one, and I don´t want the 2nd one, all these remixed just gives me headache, I haven´t heard a decent remix of anything since the happy 80s, when they really knew how to mix.

Everyone knows I HATE remixes and no way will I be buying this one. I didn't even buy Forever Pop (but someone bought it for me).

This TGWL remix is a bit like Tomcraft meets AV. In some parts it's ok but the mix doesn't match the song. Not a reason to buy this CD IMO.

Of course the song simply got "BPMized", but 1 question : was it from the To Germany With Love original master or not ? I'm talking about the potential WEA settlements for the next regular album.

If Marian has signed with WEA (which would be very nice to hear about soon!) it's not impossible that we would be able to buy something like that. WEA have released a LOT of compilations so why not release something that they have never released on CD before.....

Actually, I like the remix of To germany with love. It feels fresh, even though the original, of course, is better.

a remix of an old song should be fresh and in some way new and some kind of honour, also :)

that´s what sebastian r. komor did with his fabulous remix - it´ll be the opener of the elektrisch! 2 compilation...

and please - don´t stop acting in the past - there are so many great electronic bands to discover today - and they are worth it - like the new sounds of alphaville :)

But I heard somewhere that Marian Did´nt signed them yet (2 weeks ago) but think that we should get them this week....but it´s dipend on when Marian was ready with the signing...

I like the shorter sample version better than the one on the CD. The intro is too long I think. Almost two minutes of "I write to Germany" is too much. But I like the remix...
