This is very hard for me to choose as I think the extended versions from the 80s are the best music Alphaville ever made....I voted "Forever young" as that has a very special meaning to me as I and my friends who had a mobile discotheque back then usually finished off an evening with the extended version of Forever young!

Actually, I´m quite suprised SLAM is leading this so much, since the other maxis are also good, but seems the fans agree on this one, we´ll see when more votes comes in.

I think most fans like SLAM the most because it's not so different from the original...just longer. I have to say that I am surprised that so far I am the only one who has voted for FY!!?!?!

Yeah, but SLAM is a great song, even my mother loves this version and she is not an AV fan...

BIJ and FY are also great song, I have them on a cd that I play in my car.

I am really at a loss why Forever young and Summer rain each get 1 vote. Forever young is one of the best extended versions ever by any artist and "Summer rain" is one of the worst. I really can't understand how anyone can have the Summer rain extended as their favourite AV maxi version!!?? The best thing about that maxisingle is the b-side (Sister sun) but we are not voting about best b-side!

I haven't heard all of them, but from what I know I voted for FY. Same reason as you, Poul ..... the extended version of FY is probably my most fave song of all time.

I've always loved the instrumental part in that song. It's building up the atmosphere more and more bringing you into trance.

I couldn't agree with you more!:-) I've voted for the same reason:-) But if I had an additional choice, I'd say DANCE WITH ME. I've heard a great deal version of this song, but 12''/ extended version is the best of all as I see it.

Yeah, Dance with Me is a great maxi version too, I like the way it built up in the start.

Sad they don´t make that kind of maxis anymore - the 80s were definately the highlight of maxi pleasure.

Also voted for SLAM, because the radio edit is excelent but the 12inch is absolut amazing!! This song is heaven on earth.

Second best would be dance with me. Also, the Jet Set is one of my fav..

The pollresult looks a lot more "right" now....SLAM is certainly one of the very best AV long versions along with BIJ, DWM, FY, UD and JS and the worst are certainly Sensations, Red rose and especially Summer rain which is terrible....I still don't understand why anyone would vote for that?!?!?!
