Wolfsheim have their moments. I don't like all their stuff, some of it seem a bit weird even, but they have lots of good songs. Gold is also very fond of them, by the way.

I have one maxi with the band "once in a lifetime" or something like that. I bought it in Berlin just to test it, but I´m not too happy about the singer, boring and not very talented, but some of the synths are good.

The new album "Casting Shadows" is f***ing AMAZING! Absolutely one of the best albums I have ever bougth.

The German people seem to understand this too because the album is at place ONE in the German official longplay charts !!!

Great band, # 3 in my "personal rating" - right after A-ha (as for #1 you can guess it probably :) First I downloaded "Sparrows and Nightingales" through Kazaa, liked the song much and decided to learn more about the band - so I visited their site and the most important thing I got to know was that it's the same music style as Alphaville :) "Following you", "Wunderwelt", "Once in a lifetime" and many others are wonderful songs, in my opinion.

Good to know; it will be great to hear the new album! The only Wolfsheim album I have is Spectators...heard it in Germany and bought it over there. Very very very few people here have ever heard of Wolfsheim...actually, I know of ONE, and he had been living in Prague. I like Spectators very much...[smile]

I think they are great lyricists, but man the new album just soo didn't impress me.

Maybe in a year I'll think otherwise but it is just too middle of the road for me. I was blown away by spectators so maybe I was expecting too much. I love "Heroin She Said."

Bad news !!!

Wolfsheim have split up. The keyboardist Marcus is not happy with the fact that Peter Heppner does his own solo work and has therefore kicked Peter out and claimed the right to the name Wolfsheim. He will continue with Wolfsheim together with a new singer.

I think it's pointless to continue Wolfsheim without Hepper because his voice is 90% of the band.
I will be much more interested in the solo work Peter is going to make. He has had so many great colaborations with other bands and artists (Joachim Witt, Umbra et Imago, Paul van Dyk, Goethes Erben, Schiller, etc.) and I'm convinced he will be good on his own. José Alvarez-Brill will produce his upcoming solo album, and that is a great sign.

Have you heard anything about a release date of his solo album? I would be very much interested in it! Heppner has one of the best voices in the pop business.

I don't know any release date, but I think that the first album will be released this year (if not the legal stuff with Wolfsheim now delays it).

Peter has a contract for several albums with Warner, so we have some great stuff to look forward to! He will work with the same people as before (Alvarez-Brill, Andreas Herbig etc.) and there will be more German songs than before.

And I agree...he has one of the best voices (if not THE best voice).

Peter Heppner's solo album, named "Solo", will be released on September 12:th.
The first single "Alleinesein" will be released on August 29:th.
